Reza Khandan summoned to Evin’s public prosecutor’s office

Reza Khandan, Nasrin Sotoodeh’s husband was summoned to a branch of Evin’s public prosecutor’s office. He has a week to refer there.
Mr. Khandan said: “this is the same branch that I was summoned to two weeks after Mrs. Sotoodeh was arrested. They talked about my following her case and my interviews with media and I don’t know why they are summoning me again”.
*Nasrin Sotoodeh a lawyer and human rights activist is now a political prisoner and has gone on hunger strikes, even dry ones for several times to protest the behavior of this medieval regime towards the political prisoners.

Political prisoner Mohsen Dogmechi in critical condition

ISC reports from Tehran that Mr. Mohsen Dogmechi, political prisoner, is hospitalized in Taleghani Hospital due to his critical condition. Though he is in a very bad condition but still his hands are tied to his bed and three intelligence agents are by his bed all the time.
Mr. Dogmechi is a known merchant of Bazaar and was arrested in late summer of 2009 because he financially helped the families of political prisoners and because his daughter resides in Ashraf City, Iraq (the place of residence of PMOI members in Iraq).

Interview of Amir Kazemi, Jafar Kazemi’s brother

After there was the news of potential execution of Jafar Kazemi on Tuesday Jan. 11 his brother Amir had an interview: “last Monday when we visited him the sentence was executive but they told us that they haven’t received an order to carry it out yet. But we heard news that they are going to execute him…At his primary court he was accused of visiting his son (Jafar Kazemi’s son is residing in Ashraf City Iraq, the place of residence of PMOI members). They charged him with Moharebeh and then sentenced him to death. The sentence was endorsed in revision court. We wrote letters to everywhere and we referred to many places may be we could change the sentence but unfortunately in vein…
Now we are just asking human rights organizations outside Iran to do something. We can do nothing here. If some one can do something, if someone hears my voice help us to prevent the execution of his sentence.”

Kazemi’s lawyer: I have received no decree for execution yet

Though the execution sentence of Mr. Kazemi is sent to the Branch for Execution of Decrees, his lawyer Mrs. Nasim Qhanavi said: “no communiqué about such decree has been conveyed to me and I know nothing about that”.
Jafar Kazemi is a lithographer of educational books and books of Amir Kabir University and was a political prisoner from 1981 to 1990.
He was arrested on Sep. 18, 2009 in Haft-e-Tir Square and was transferred to solitary cells of ward 209 at Evin Prison. He was transferred after 74 days of torture and pressure to ward 350.
Mrs. Qhanavi said: “Jafar Kazemi is charged with ‘Moharebeh’ (waging war against God) by supporting PMOI”.
