Public hanging in Tehran

On morning of Wednesday Jan. 5 the clerical dictatorship hanged an inmate in public in Sa’adat Abad region of Tehran. His name was Yaghoob and he was 32.
The clerical dictatorship horrified of the general discontent after subsidy cuts try to impose atmosphere of fear and horror to prevent any protest.
16 executions in Khozestan

The clerical dictatorship hanged 16 in Khozestan on charge of narcotics.
It is to be mentioned that this regime has times and again used this charge to cover the execution of political prisoners
Farhadi Rad the criminal deputy of regime’s prosecutor in Ahwaz said amongst regime’s journalists: “the new law of fighting against drugs has been issued recently. From Jan.4 this law will be implemented and according to it the punishment for providence and distribution of ‘glass’ is execution. During the last few days 16 have been hanged in Khozestan in that regard”.
Two inmates hanged in Broojerd

On Friday Jan. 8 two prisoners were hanged in Broojerd by the names of Abdollah Derafshi and Ardeshir Niazi.
The head henchmen of regime’s Judiciary emphasized on increase of the number of executions

Mullah Larijani addressed regime’s prosecutors and heads of courts nationwide to speed up investigating cases and to increase the number of executions.
Mullah Larijani said: “I ask all judiciary officials in provinces to investigate these cases at maximum speed because when they are investigated in long run it will decrease the preventing aspect of the punishments”.
Meanwhile he advised the henchmen of Judiciary not to do anything that would cost the Establishment. He advised: “in especial cases and important crimes that have national and regional aspects, the judges and judiciary directors must be careful about the public effect of their decrees…so that these records would not damage the judiciary”.
Mullah Larijani also demanded welfare considerations for the henchmen of regime’s Judiciary.
Three human rights activists arrested

Intelligence agents arrested three human rights activists who went to congratulate the family of Habibollah Latifi, Kurd political prisoner for his freedom. They were transferred to an unknown location.
