Students of Shirz University clashed with suppressive forces; 15 arrested

Shiraz- Feb.23, 2011
On Monday Feb. 23 at 12 noon 200 students of Shiraz University held a ceremony in memory of Hamed Noor Mohammadi who was killed by SSF on Feb. 20 uprising in Shiraz.
The number of students increased gradually and they chanted anti-regime slogans for 45 minutes.
Harasat suppressive agents leaded by the mercenary dean of the university put pressure on the students to prevent them from holding this ceremony but they didn’t accept and eventually they clashed with Harasat.
During the clashes Mohamadi the mercenary dean of the university was beaten by students and 15 students were arrested.

Regime admitted that its first secretary in consulate in Milan resigned

To confront more defections, regime absurdly put the resignation of its first secretary in its consulate in Milan and wrote in its media that he has handed over his post.
Raja News wrote about the event: “according to the report of well-known news agencies Ahmad Maleki has handed over his post”.

Collecting satellite dishes

SSF in Tehran has been collecting satellite dishes to prevent free transfer of information.
On Tuesday morning Feb. 22, SSF agents raided some regions in west of Tehran such as Ekbatan Residential Complexes, and Shahrak Qharb.
The number of SSF was so high that 6 agents were present on the roof of on set of apartments and in front of the complex two SSF vans were present.
Usually after they collect the dishes they fine the residents too.
Also in recent days emitting parasites on satellite networks has increased.

A brother and sister arrested in Marivan

Marivan- Feb.23, 2011
Erfan and Sanieh Erfani were arrested by security forces in Marivan. On Sunday Feb. 20 security forces of Marivan city raided a house in the Goyzeh Koreh Village around Marivan and while searching the house and offending the residents they took this brother and sister away.
There is no news of them since and though their parents have referred to security organs they have said they are not aware of any such thing.

An eyewitness talks about his street arrest on Feb. 20

This man that was detained on Feb. 20 said: “they got suspicious; they came to me and searched me then asked for my ID. I didn’t have any ID with me so they wrote down my full name, address, cell phone number and my residential number then they took a picture both from me and their own writings and then let me go.
When I was detained I saw many people who were detained. They had eye-bands and handcuffs”.
Another eyewitness said that he saw that in front of Haj and Pilgrimage Organization about 70 people were arrested. These people were arrested by Bassijies and Plainclothes and they were then handed over to SSF while being beaten. They took away any cell phone in the street that they saw and checked it and if it was on Facebook the owner got detained.

After the recent uprising regime is deploying its spies in the society having the appearance of a normal person.
One of the role’s they play is as taxi drivers.
An eyewitness being confronted with one of these agents said: “he looked just like a taxi driver, asked me if I like music and played the tape for me then started to talk about the uprising and when I was pissed off about the regime and talked about that he started to ask questions like an interrogator so I didn’t continue. It was clear that he wasn’t just a taxi driver. He was very professional just like an interrogator.

Family of Hamed Noor Mohammadi under pressure

When receiving the body of Hamed Noor Mohammadi, slain on Feb. 20 uprising by regime’s suppressive forces in Shiraz the family were under pressure by the intelligence agents to say that Hamed was killed in an accident.
The security and intelligence agents took Hamed’s family to the place he was killed along with some mercenary officials of his university and even some traffic police to show that his death was an accident.
Hamed is from regions of Khoramabad and Al Ashtar and regime fears of unrest in those regions because of this crime.

About 22 detainees of Feb. 20 uprising around Enghelab Square who were arrested by security forces and IRGC forces were taken to the basement of Snadogh Mehr Reza Building at the intersection of Forsat and East Jamalzadeh Streets eye banded.
This building was totally under the control of Bassij and IRGC on Sunday Feb.20 and its basement was used as a place for interrogating and torturing the detainees.

On Feb. 21 the Harasat suppressive forces of Shiraz University entered Hamed Noor Mohammadi’s dormitory and confiscated all his belongings. Hamed’s close friends were summoned to Harasat.
Hamed was killed by regime’s mercenaries in Shiraz on Feb. 20 uprising.
At 4 to 5 pm students held a ceremony in the dormitory in his memory and posted his pictures on the walls which were dragged down and torn by Bassijies.
Then students of Dastghaib Dormitory in Shiraz chanted ‘Allah O Akbar’ at night to remember him and to protest his killing by regime.

Source says four people were killed during Feb. 14 protests, not two

Seven days after the death of Tehran Arts University student Sane Zhaleh, a professor in this university who asked not be named said that four people were killed on February 14 and that the government has been able to hide the two other deaths from the media. This professor said that sources in the government had leaked this report.

Students protest in commemoration of Hamed Noor Mohammadi

On Feb. 22 students of Shiraz University held a protest gathering From 8 am in front of Science Department instead of going to classes to praise Hamed Noor Mohammadi a student of this university who was killed by regime’s suppressive forces on Feb. 20 uprising in Shiraz. They also posted Hamed’s pictures on the wall reading that the wolves must know that if they kill the father, his gun and his son in the cradle exist.
The Harasat suppressive forces at the university and also regime’s intelligence elements there did not act in fear of the wrath of students.
Other universities in Shiraz are also uneasy and students intend to hold commemoration ceremonies and vast protest against the killing of Hamed Noor Mohammadi.

Karami Rad, the head of SSF in Isfahan while announcing the news said: “as crimes are being committed in virtual space, police has made itself ready and equipped to seriously confront these crimes.
Swift discovery of Cybernetic Crimes and arresting the internet criminals are of the most important goals of the formation of FATA in the province”.

Suppressive forces stationed in the main squares of Najafabad

From the afternoon of Monday Feb.21 a great number of regime’s security forces and SSF were stationed in Najafabad squares and bazaar.
This move followed the news that Najafabad Bazaar will go under total strike on Teusday Feb. 22.
It is to be mentioned that during the last three nights, cries of ‘Allah O Akbar’ and ‘death to dictator’ was heard from 9 to 10 pm from the roofs of Najafabad.

Scattered clashes in Isfahan

Eyewitnesses said that on morning of Monday Feb.21 there were scattered clashes between protesters and regime’s suppressive forces in the streets of Hussein Abad and Bagh Daryacheh.
The gathering at Bagh Daryacheh was a student protest gathering and there have been shots of tear gas canisters and shootings in the air.

Pressure surges on Krud political prisoners in Orumieh Prison

After the execution of Hussein Khezri, Krud political prisoner who was imprisoned at Orumieh Prison, and the protests of his cellmates and their hunger strikes, the clerical dictatorship increased pressure on Kurd political prisoners in that prison. In continuation of the pressure one of political prisoners Hussein Mirzaie was exiled to Karaj’s Gohardasht (Rajaie Shahr) Prison and Ahmad Tamouie was transferred to the Intelligence Bureau to go under interrogation.
After the execution of Hussein Khezri the political prisoners at Orumieh Central Prison are deprived of their minimum rights such as going to prison’s yard, calling their families, using hot water for taking shower and having any connection with ordinary prisoners.

Warning Dervishes

As Feb.22 is Dervish Day the security agents of Khamenei’s regime have been warning Gonabadi Dervishes that they were not allowed to hold any ceremony. One Dervish said that this shows how regime fears even religious ceremonies of other minorities. The youths, members of Gonabadi Dervishes said in answer to regime’s threat that they will hold the ceremony under any condition.

Workers of Pars Switch of Zanjan on strike

The workers and employees of Zanjan Pars Switch Company, 850, which is affiliated with the Ministry of Power, went on strike since Feb.19.
The strike started first to protest the quality of the food and then was dragged to the problem of wages.
Suppressive forces were deployed from Boroujerd Township to the factory on Sunday Feb.20 but the strike still continues on Feb.22.

Hussein Naghavi a member of regime’s Security Commission of parliament said: “the illegal sayings of Amanou will make the Islamic Republic to loose its trust in regard with the international organs especially IAEA. It will have problem in further cooperation with this organ…This position of the secretary of IAEA that he is concerned about not knowing the exact location of our new nuclear facilities is very strange. These words are neither legally based nor based on expert opinion”.
Fatemeh Alya another member of this commission said: ‘Amanou takes no clear position and accuses Iran. The diplomacy apparatus must not permit these illegal words to have effect on public opinion in the world”.

Rafsanjani wasn’t invited to Islamic Union Conference

Khabar On Line state-run media wrote in that regard: “in the 24th session of International Conference for Islamic Unity that was held on Saturday Morning (Feb.19) … the absence of one of the permanent guests of this session was outstanding. This guest was no one but Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani who wasn’t invited for the opening ceremony for the first time”.

Iran stands in stage 171 in regard with economical freedom

State-run daily, Islamic Republic reported that Heritage Foundation in US has announced recently that in regard with economic freedom Iran stands in stage 171 amongst the world’s countries. Iran’s score has decreased 1.3% in comparison with 2010 and has reached 42.1%.

Fearful words of Mullah Larijani the head of regime’s judiciary

Mehr news agency affiliated with IRGC quoted regime’s head of Judiciary Larijani which revealed his fear of popular uprising: “those who arouse sedition must know that the judiciary apparatus will act decisively in the framework of law and according to the general interests of the Establishment. Establishment’s patience has a limit and when it is passed the answer is clear”.
Speaking amongst a group of regime’s elements he added: “these days we are all witnessing that Moslem people in Egypt, Tunisia, Yemen, Lybia, Jordan and recently in Bahrain have moved in the course of freedom and divine values. I hope that these countries are aware so that other countries could not confiscate these movements and revolutions on their own behalf…of course it is very unfortunate that those who arouse sedition have had disgusting moves for our people”.

Killings in Marivan

Protests in Marivan started form 2 pm on Feb. 20 in Marivan. During the clashes between people and suppressive forces two were killed by suppressive forces; a young boy Alireza Mohammadi and Akbar Karimi 20, about 15 got injured. Some were arrested that the real statistic is not known.

A lady killed in Mahabad uprising

On Feb. 20 Uprising in Mahabad when people intended to start their march the regime’s suppressive forces blocked them, consequently people clashed with suppressive forces.
During the clash a lady got killed by suppressive forces. The number of injured is not completely known.
The residents of Mahabad have announced that they will hold protest demonstrations again on Wednesday Feb. 23.

A student killed in Shiraz during Feb. 20 protest demonstrations

During Feb. 20th uprising in Shiraz, a student of Shiraz University, Hamed Noor Mohammadi, was killed by regime’s security agents.
Hamed was a student of Biochemistry, from Khoram Abad and resided at Dastghaib Dormitory.
He was killed by regime’s security agents and Bassijies while he was running away in Namazi Square in front of Building No. 1 of the Department of Engineering.
Some other active students are banned from entering the university and the dormitory. In some cases their families were called and threatened.
On the night of Feb. 20 at 10 pm the cry of ‘Allah O Akbar’ and ‘death to dictator’ was heard for 15 minutes from Mofateh Dormitory at Shiraz University.

Challenges of Feb.20 uprising

As regime of Khamenei is a religious fascism it had totally blocked the leak of any news to the outside world on the uprising of Feb. 20 in Iran.
People could not tape the scenes because regime was zoomed on cell phones. It even conducted body search in the streets to find the cell phones. It searched the bags of women and back packs of boys and girls. Even if somebody pushed his/her hand in the pocket they went to him/her and searched him/her. This is one of the reasons that people couldn’t tape the scene of Feb. 20 uprising as they should.
Cell phones worked like a weapon for the protesters.
Regime also disguised its Plainclothes under the face of students and sent them amongst the protesters or rushed into the scene amongst the protesting crowd with ambulances and when people started chanting anti-regime slogans its agents rushed out of the ambulance and arrested them.

Political prisoner under torture and pressure could be charged with’ enmity with God’

According to reports, officials intend to try political prisoner Mohammad Nikbakht on charges of enmity with God in the Isfahan Revolutionary Court which carries the death sentence even as he has been in prison for the past five years.
This political prisoner was transferred from the public cellblock in Isfahan Prison to solitary cells in Cellblock AT run by the Intelligence Agency in Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan in June 2009, where he was under brutal physical and mental torture. He has been under torture for the past 20 months in Cellblock AT. Some of the torture he is subjected to is being hung until he loses conscious, being whipped with cables and hoses, being tied to an iron pole for four days without food while he is denied the right to use the restroom and is deprived of sleep among other mental tortures…
His family has been banned from visits and has no information on his condition.
Mohammad Nikbakht’s father is detained in Golpaigan Prison and his mother has gone blind because of mental pressure by Intelligence Agency interrogators and from not being informed about her son’s condition in prison.
Notably, political prisoner Mohammad Nikbakht was arrested along with his wife and 3 year old child in June 2004 and was detained in a solitary cell run by the Intelligence Agency in Orumieh for three months where he was under brutal torture.
Nikbakht was sentenced to 8 years of prison and was later sentenced to an additional one year of prison for disclosing the tortures and crimes of the Intelligence Agency in prison.

Hussein Salemkar, Student of Scharif Industrial University detained

Hussein Salemkar a student of Scharif Industrial University and a former member of Islamic Association of Khaje Nasir University was arrested on Feb. 15 one day after the uprising of Feb. 14 while exiting the university. His family is not informed of who arrested him or where he is kept.
He was a student of Mechanical Engineering in Master of Science at Khaje Nasir Univeristy and entered Scharif University in 2010 in the area of airspace.

No matter whoever I called they were either beaten and in bed at their homes or they were arrested.

Elderly woman dies in Shiraz after being struck with Bassij batons

According to reports from Shiraz, security forces have brutally cracked down on dissents.
Some reports say that security forces and riot police opened fire on protesters and killed one person.
An elderly woman was also killed after being hit on the head with a baton by Bassij and Revolutionary Guards Forces on motorcycles.

Security forces shoot and kill protester in Tehran square

A few minutes after a protest gathering on Feb. 20, security and military forces in Hafte Tir Square opened fire on protesters. According to reports, as a result of the fired gun shots, one of the protesters was killed and a number of other people were wounded.
A protester on the scene said that the wounds of the shot protester were so severe that the person died after a few minutes in Hafte Tir Square. This is while the BBC quoted another eyewitness as saying that the sounds of gun shots were heard from around the Abbas Abad Street in Tehran.

All stores are closed and the people have gone on strike. A large number of people are marching on the sidewalks and there is also a heavy security presence.

Special Guards Forces are stationed in all sensitive regions in this town. Protesters have burned tires and are bracing themselves for more protests.

According to reports from Vanak Square, the clashes between security forces, Bassij Forces and Special Guards Forces are still fiercely going on with the people which has taken the form of hit and run tactics. There were clashes between security forces and the people last night.

According to reports, in light of the strikes in Sanandaj, the Iranian regime has started a carnival on the streets using its Bassi, plainclothes agents and Bassij soldiers and is giving out sweets. They want to show in this way that nothing is going on in this city. State-run TV cameras are on the scenes taking shots to show in their television at night.

Plainclothes agents are asking book stores near Tehran University to close their shops. A large number of security forces with cars and riot police have been stationed outside the Tehran and Sharif Universities.
Azadi Square is under the complete control of security forces and it has turned into a parking lot for various types of security force cars. Protesters have been mostly gathered in the Northern parts of Tehran and some areas in Enqelab Square and Jamalzadeh Street.
Internet Cafes in the main roads have been closed and several plainclothes agent units have been stationed on their motorcycles waiting for orders.
The town is very volatile and the numbers of protesters are growing.
There have been clashes between security forces and the people in Amir Abad. The people hurled stones to defend themselves. The environment is very volatile. There are fires all over Tehran and security forces are hastily throwing tear gas in all directions. The sounds of shots were also heard.
The police and Bassij forces are trying to make noise and intimidate the people to disperse them. Demonstrators are resisting and holding their ground. There is a fierce fight between security forces and protesters in Enqelab Street. The brave young people are fighting back and chanting slogans.
Municipality employees have gathered all the trashcans to prevent demonstrators from burning them.

Regime’s foreign guests are arrested alleged with spying

A group of regime’s foreign guests who had been invited for participating in regime’s ceremonies for the anniversary of its ‘Islamic Revolution’ while going towards the theater on Feb. 14 were arrested.
The sponsors of these ceremonies said that the guests were prohibited from going into the streets on that day but some of them went to tape the unrest and they were arrested as spies and went under interrogation by agents of regime’s Intelligence Ministry.
One of the guests said: “they have given us all guarantees about our security before the trip, the officials promised that we will be totally free to move around but still they arrested us and took us to an unknown location.
The interrogator asked us for whom we are spying? Even when they were certain that we were official guests they still wanted us to confess that we were spies.
In Iran even taking photos from street protests is a crime”.

17 arrested in Feb. 14 uprising in Kerman

Public prosecutor of regime in Kerman, Yadollah Movahed, pointed to the uprising on Feb. 14 and said that in one of Kerman’s squares “17 were arrested, 8 of them are under temporary detention and the rest were conditionally freed”.
He added: “these 8 are accused of ‘disrupting public order by provoking chaos’, ‘acting against national security’, ‘propagating against the Establishment’, ‘holding illegal gatherings’ and ‘offending the officials of the Establishment and profanity’ and their files are being studied”.

Regime’s criminal prosecutor threatens; suppression will increase

ISNA state-run news agency quoted Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi, regime’s prosecutor in Tehran: “having in mind the recent events in Tehran, the identity of the criminals who acted on Feb.14 is revealed more than before…The Judiciary and Prosecutor’s Office in Tehran decisively announces that we will act decisively in regard with those who are guilty in the recent events and the invokers… we will never permit that the ideals of the deceased Imam be ridiculed by some”…
Being worried about regime’s trembling after the Feb. 14 uprising he added: “God’s will this revolution will proudly continue its move and those who stand in opposition to it will be punished”.

The Club for Support of Families of those Fallen for Freedom called for protest demonstrations

The Club for Support of Families of those Fallen for Freedom and the Detainees praising the memory of the martyrs of Feb. 14 uprising called for protest demonstration on Feb. 20 the seventh day they passed away (In Iran the seventh and 40th day after somebody’s death are the days that they are remembered).
In its statement the club said that the regime wanted to show that it wasn’t responsible for these two deaths saying that dissidents and PMOI killed these two, but the classmates of Sane answered back as why they didn’t kill Bassijies and regime’s elements on the state-run march of Feb.11. “…After paying our condolences to the families of these two martyrs we call on all Iranians to commemorate them and cry for justice…on Feb. 20…”

Prevented to participate in Mohammad Mokhtari’s commemoration ceremony people chant death to khamenei

On Feb. 18 as many people of Tehran Pars region were prevented by regime’s suppressive forces to participate in the memorial of Mohammad Mokhtari fallen for freedom on Feb. 14 uprising by the direct shot of regime’s suppressive forces, They started chanting ‘death to dictator’ and ‘death to Khamenei’. The slogans were heard from Rashid Street, 196 Dardasht and from Bagheri Highway between the second and third circles of Tehranpars. This protest continued from 2 pm till 5 pm.

On Friday Feb. 18 after the state-run Friday prayer when regime’s subordinates started a pro-regime march a group of courageous youths started to chant death to velayat-e-Faghieh confronting their march.

In another event regime’s suppressive forces stop motorbikes and harass them. They also bother young people and students on different excuses. The number of regime’s patrols has surged drastically in the city.
Phone lines, especially Iran Cell is either cut or works just one-way. Most of the SMSes sent either don’t reach their destination or partially reach it.

Reports sent to ISC say that during the protest demonstrations on Feb. 14 in Babol, north of Iran, 13 were arrested, two of them under 18.
The detainees are taken to Mata Kala Prison at its Quarantine ward. There is no more news of their conditions.

Amir Shaibani one of the founders of Islamic Association of Department of Law and Political Science of Azad University in Mashhad was arrested on Feb. 14 uprising while he was going from Vakil-abad towards Rahnameie intersection (the main location of protests in Mashhad).
Amir was with his mother. They were attacked by suppressive agents and they took Amir away.
He is most probably taken to security prison belonging to SSF in Mashhad.

Pars Metal Company transferred to IRGC’s Air Force

Deprived workers of Abanad Municipality

Workers of Abadan Municipality working with contract-enterprises have not received their wages up to 5 months.
Though they had protested in that regard in front of the municipality but so far no problem has been solved. One of the workers said that it is four months that he had not received his right of insurance.

A student died from ‘A type influenza’ due to lack of minimum treatment facilities at the university

On Feb. 11 Reza Esfandiari, an engineering student of Sahand University refers to the university’s physician and he only gives him some pill though he was infected with ‘A type influenza’. When at 11 pm his condition gets critical there was no emergency facility to help taking him to a hospital and he died.

Four executed in Kerman

Asr-e-Iran state-run news agency said that four were hanged in Kerman’s central prison on Friday morning Feb. 18. The agency said that they were accused of drug related crimes.
It is to be mentioned that the clerical dictatorship has hanged political prisoners times and again under the disguise of drug dealers. Zahra Bahrami, Iranian-Dutch political prisoner was hanged as such.

Regime’s MPs attacked Ashton

Regime’s parliament’s site: “Ashton’s weakness resulted in Istanbul negotiations being fruitless”, “Ashton brought about false arguments”.
Ashton’s saying that Iran’s regime does not comply with NPT and its nuclear program is not clear has aroused anger amongst regime’s MPS.
Jahangirzadeh, MP, said: “Ashton was not a qualified diplomat for directing the negotiation of 5+1 with Islamic Republic. One of the reasons that Istanbul negotiation was defeated was that Ashton didn’t know how to manage the negotiations. The negative result was so that two days of negotiations was fruitless and the negotiations were stopped”.
Mohammad Dehghani a member of the board of directors of regime’s parliament said: “Iran will not be stopped by Ashtons’ words and will continue full force. It will not pay any more attention to the fruitless negotiations”.
Karami Rad a member of regime parliament’s Security Commission while worried, said: “Ashton’s new claims are new deceptions. May be these claims are because west has been defeated continuously in negotiations and these are excuses for issuing a new resolution. It is clear that Mrs. Ashton has received orders from her masters and tries to express new issues against Tehran based on those orders”.

Quirking about Bousher’s nuclear reactor

Asr-e-Iran state-run site: Ali Akbar Salehi regime’s Foreign Minister said that Bousher’s nuclear reactor will be operational on April 9, 2011. On Nov.27, 2010 he said that it will be operational till the end of January 2011 max. But January is over and we are at mid February and now he says it will run in April”.
A member of National Security Commission of regime’s parliament, Fatemeh Alya said: “Boushehr nuclear site will run by March 20”.
Regime’s ambassador in Russia, Mohammad Reza Sajadi expressed his disappointment about this site becoming operative and said: “if Russia does not intend to finish its project in Bousher, it will totally lose its credibility by Iranians”.
The construction of this reactor was finished on Feb. 2009 but it is not still operational because Russia did not finish the project.
