Sanctions

We demand more sanctions
Tehran, July 30, 2010
We the students committee in Iran welcome the new EU sanctions against the clerical dictatorship and demand more sophisticated sanctions in all fields; oil, trade and political.
During three decades hundreds of millions of dollars of oil income has been completely at service of the regime used for its military and suppressive forces, export of terrorism and nuclear projects or has been transferred to bank accounts of its top officials.
None of it has been used for prosperity of the country and welfare of its people.
Right now millions of Iranians are living under poverty line but the oil income is in the pockets of the mullahs.
The main veins of Iran’s investment are at hands of IRGC.
We condemn any appeasement policy with this anti-human regime.
Such a policy would mean giving time to the mullahs to obtain nuclear bomb.
The appeasement policy will breed terrorism throughout the world and will lead to the massacre of innocent human beings.
Any appeasement with this regime is nothing but a weak position and yielding to terrorism and achievement of nuclear bomb.
Mullahs want to preserve their power by obtaining nuclear weapons and this is a part of their strategy.
We, the Students Committee in Iran say that the only solution is democratic change in Iran by people and resistance of Iran.
So once again we demand all European countries and US to concentrate sophisticated sanctions on the clerical dictatorship to put an end to the years of suffering of Iranians and to help them to restore peace, freedom and democracy to the land of Iran.

Mullah Mojtaba Zolnoor the deputy representative of Khamenei in IRGC hanged to terrorist threats in regard with sanctions.
Fars News Agency affiliated with IRGC reported: “Mojaba Zolnoor said that if they want to make the straits, oceans and water-ways insecure for us, the strait of Hormoz and Persian Gulf will be insecure for them...the enemy has weak points and we had worked on them. Mullahs complain from EU sanctions
Tehran, July 29, 2010
In its editorial Resalat official daily complained about EU sanctions against the clerical regime and wrote: “EU has officially approved sanctions far harsher than those of 1929 resolution against Iran in fields of energy, insurance, trade and transportation”.
The article continued: “a while ago US congress took the first steps for intensification of the sanctions. The fact that US and Europe have decided to take steps beyond the Security Council’s resolution and become more hostile aggressive each day gives Iran the permission to take the 1929 resolution as nothing and the decisions of sanctions of US and EU as nothing”.

The Downfall

The goal of the nationwide uprising: pulling down the principle of Velayat-e-Faghih

Political prisoner and father of Ashraf resident on verge of execution
Tehran- July 29, 2010
The death sentence for Jafar Kazemi was upheld by the court of review and his request for appeal was turned down by the 31st branch of the Supreme Court. This sentence was upheld by the 36th branch of the Tehran Appeals Court headed by Hojatol-Islam Zargar.
His lawyer, Ms. Ghanavi said in an interview with a human rights website that her client has spent many days in solitary but was not informed of any other pressure that might have been put on him or his family.
Kazemi, 36, is a lithographer of Amir Kabir University student textbooks and was arrested on September 18, 2009 in Haft Tir Square in Tehran. He was transferred to a solitary cell and was then taken to cellblock 350 in Evin Prison after 74 days. Kazemi was also jailed from 1981 to 1990.
His wife, Roudabeh Akbari had asked for help to stop her husband’s death sentence in a letter to the United Nations. Kazemi was initially tried in the 28th branch of the Revolutionary Court.
“Jafar Kazemi has been charged with enmity with God by supporting the Mojahedin group although he has not accepted the charges in any of the interrogations”, Nasim Ghanavi said.
“The charge of enmity with God is one of the crimes for which lawmakers have to consider the canonical conditions for because it has canonical roots; including armed measures because most Shiite clerics believe that a mohareb is someone who uses arms (in resistance). Which is not the case regarding my client. He only participated in post-election gatherings and he might have chanted slogans but as a lawyer I believe that the issue of moharebeh does not definitely relate to him”, she added.
“Unfortunately neither the initial trial considered our defense nor the court of appeals and the Supreme Court also ruled that he is a Mohareb”, she said regarding the defense in court.
According to this lawyer, his sentence has been transferred to the Sentence Implementation Department and from a legal standpoint; no legal measures will be affective to save his life.

Sanctions

European sanctions the toughest blow against the clerical regime

Political prisoner reports on appalling state of Gohardasht Prison;
For those who are willing to listen
Tehran- July 28, 2010
Dr. Saied Masouri, a PMOI political prisoner sentenced to life in prison is currently in Rajayi Shahr (Gohardasht) Prison in Karaj and has given a report on this prison.
The report is as follows:
Though it is probable that life seemingly goes on outside of prison, in Karaj no one can believe that a few meters away behind the walls of prison which people pass by, there is a hell and human catastrophe in progress. Just as many people were living around the Auschwitz and Dachau death camps and they might not have know what went on inside these camps.
I want to paint you a picture of the Rajayi Shahr Prison which seems very big for the residents of Karaj but is actually very small because of the mass crowds held inside. It seems as if it is a different world here. Something like hell in fictional movies filled with fire and smoke and blackened and unkempt faces, naked and sweaty bodies which have become red with lice bites, pants with one leg ripped off used as a makeshift belt, dirty bare feet, clothes that have been worn inside out because of lice, ripped rubber slippers, dirty and polluted air, the smell of rotten trash, the sewage coming from clogged toilets, dried vomit from food poisoning, mucus from infected throats which can be seen everywhere in prison, the smell of sweaty bodies which rarely have the privilege of taking a shower in this closed, hot and polluted space… All of this is completed with the smell of urine of those who cannot control themselves reaches. And the aggravating shouts and yells of prisoners waiting in long lines with blackened plastic bottles used as tea cups; prisoners waiting in long compressed lines for a turn in the bathroom, shower or …
Tired worn out faces, as a result of malnutrition, hidden under long beards and disheveled hair, irritant coughs from lung problems as a result of the closed atmosphere, unusual bodies which reminds a person of starving African children, scores of prisoners lying in the middle of the halls who have either fallen into a death like sleep or have been heat stricken and are staring with glassy eyes at the walls or ceiling. Or others, leaning naked on the walls, searching for the lice in their clothes.
Several other prisoners stand alone or in groups of two staring at others because they are unable to move around in the density of the prison or those who play with the stitches on their writs or throats which they have received as a result of suicide attempts. They usually have a piece of cloth or towel with them to wipe off the sweat from their face every few minutes which they sometimes use as a mask to fend off the pungent stench or at least make it a little more tolerable. All of this along with the deafening sounds of the loudspeakers and vulgar cursing which invite prisoners to follow their turns for the shower and toilets. All of this can be understood when you realize that in a place that has the capacity of 90 people, 1,100 people are detained. There is one shower for 250 people, 500 people have one soap, 170 people have one toilet (which is usually clogged up and filthy), five people have one cubic cm of space (that is why prisoners sleep in the hallways and staircases), 5 or 6 people share one blanket and are forced to stay out in the sun in the prison yard from 7am to 7pm because they do not fit in the cells or indoors. There is rarely any room to stand in the prison yard and when food is thrown in a piece of newspaper for many prisoners, they can find no other place than the prison yard to sit down and eat. This situation has even annoyed the prison guards because they cannot conduct a headcount and are also in danger of catching all kinds of diseases…
What is more amazing is that the TV (state-run TV inside prison) talks about human dignity, the stature of human beings and even global management from dawn to dusk but does not talk about these hardships in prison because talking about hygiene, showers and toilets is intertwined with national security and bringing it up is a crime in the lines of acting against national security and publishing lies and if someone like 22 year old political prisoner Reza Jushan who was arrested after the elections protests this condition, he is immediately thrown in solitary. Of course I expect nothing less, but the state of Rajayi Shahr Prison (and of course other prisons) is so appalling that solitary is no solution (for dissent) and therefore Guantanamo Bay and Abu Ghuraib are like inaccessible dreams fro prisoners and the hope of execution is a far easier, prevalent and more accessible solution for escape from this condition.

37 journalists in prison under the clerical dictatorship’s rule
Tehran, July 28, 2010
At least 37 journalists are imprisoned in the Islamic Republic. We the Students Committee condemn the fact that journalists in Iran do not enjoy minimum freedom for reflecting the truth of Iran’s society.

Brief - Clerical regime’s muddled economic condition

Brief

Clerical regime’s muddled economic condition

Effects of international sanctions gradually show up,
Crisis of Electricity; intensive pressure on Iran’s industry

Continuous cut in electricity is not only putting pressure on residents of the country but also is a pain in the neck for the industry in some provinces especially in Tehran.
Different fields of industry are daily facing billions of tomans of damages. As the weather heats up and there is more consumption of energy the Ministry of Industry has decided to cut electricity for some hours during the day.
But this decision has meant billions of tomans of loss for industry at Tehran Province especially in industrial townships at south, east and west of this province.
The cut in electricity which has gradually started from the last days of June has escalated during last week.
Some industrial townships of Tehran Province are suffering an eight-hours daily cut in electricity during morning and early afternoon.
Also sudden cut in electricity has caused great many problems including damaging the appliances and machinery, corruption of raw material, air pollution, closure of production lines and making workers jobless, corruption of products at the point of transfer amongst the production lines and thus imposing billions of tomans of loss on the industry.

Another field suffering from this phenomenon is export industry of Iran.
The industry that has scheduled its daily production to be able to export goods at the scheduled time is facing problems and is suffering a great loss.
In an interview with Mehr state-run news agency an industrial activist said: “we are not having electricity daily from 11 am till six pm and some times more and without former notice”.
“The damage imposed on some of industries is few million tomans each hour and in some cases few hundred million tomans for each hour and it is not clear who is responsible for such damage.”
He pointed that products in molding industry melt without electricity and added: “in many cases and during the current week as the electricity was cut the products have remained in kilns and melted and sometimes the kilns were harmed and became out of order.”

“Industries producing glasses, taps, petrochemicals, plastics, shoes, dishes and food in Iran’s industrial townships have suffered a great damage because of continuous cut in electricity which is not even in compliance with the table of timing given and because the government has given false promises.

In addition to all these problems the banking operations of industries in banks located in these townships are facing problems.
Owners and employees of different industries have not been able to handle the smallest banking affairs and transfer of funds needed.
Another problem caused by cut in electricity in industrial townships targets workers and their families especially their kids who live in these townships because of heat and polluted air and cut in water.”

The activist continues: “the managers of industrial townships and the authorities responsible for all these townships have not been able so far to do something for solving this crisis.”

The mentioned cases expressed by activists in industrial townships come at a time when the deputy of Minister of Industry and Mines has announced an agreement with Ministry of Power according to which the industrial townships throughout country will not face any more electricity cut”.
 (another deception of Ahmadinejad’s government).

Former student prisoner witnesses horrifying sexual abuse in Babol Prison
Tehran- July 24, 2010
Iman Sediqi explained the horrifying condition of political prisoners in prison in an interview…
Iman Sediqi: Dangerous criminals were kept in the public cellblock. People who had committed crimes such as murder, kidnappings, rape, vandalizing and forced entrance into homes… In our room there were about 15 other prisoners who lived with us in the cell…
Most of them were arrested for street fights but there were other people who were arrested for kidnappings, vandalizing or raping their child.
Unfortunately that person (rapist) who was not in a suitable mental condition raped his 11 year old son and was sentenced to 10 years of prison and lived with us in one room. Of course no one had the right to know our charge and they had written that we had committed vandalizing in the prisoner list in our cell so that no one would notice (that we were political prisoners)…
There were two prisoners who had a fight with each other in the quarantine section… The next day when I went to the quarantine section to use the telephone I realized that prisoners who ran the quarantine section (we call them the prisoner’s representatives) had chained the legs of this prisoner to the leg of another prisoner in the middle of the yard and forced him to carry out a vulgar sexual act with the prisoner chained to him in front of all the other prisoners in the middle of the yard. And when he got tired and stopped what he was doing, he would be violently assaulted with the handle of a broom and would be forced to continue…
Three days after we were transferred to the public cellblock, we went to see the head of the prison and asked to be transferred to the Private Cellblock but he refused and said that we do not give a cell to anti-revolutionaries. He also told us that we had no right to tell anyone what our crime was and that we are not allowed to talk about our charge with anyone and if we did we would be transferred to the Ministry of Intelligence Detention Center in Sari.

Brief Clerical regime’s muddled economic condition Effects of international sanctions gradually show up, Crisis of Electricity; intensive pressure on Iran’s industry Continuous cut in electricity is not only putting pressure on residents of the country but also is a pain in the neck for the industry in some provinces especially in Tehran. “The damage imposed on some of industries is few million tomans each hour and in some cases few hundred million tomans for each hour and it is not clear who is responsible for such damage.” He pointed that products in molding industry melt without electricity and added: “in many cases and during the current week as the electricity was cut the products have remained in kilns and melted and sometimes the kilns were harmed and became out of order.” “Industries producing glasses, taps, petrochemicals, plastics, shoes, dishes and food in Iran’s industrial townships have suffered a great damage because of continuous cut in electricity which is not even in compliance with the table of timing given and because the government has given false promises. In addition to all these problems the banking operations of industries in banks located in these townships are facing problems. Owners and employees of different industries have not been able to handle the smallest banking affairs and transfer of funds needed. Another problem caused by cut in electricity in industrial townships targets workers and their families especially their kids who live in these townships because of heat and polluted air and cut in water.” The activist continues: “the managers of industrial townships and the authorities responsible for all these townships have not been able so far to do something for solving this crisis.” The mentioned cases expressed by activists in industrial townships come at a time when the deputy of Minister of Industry and Mines has announced an agreement with Ministry of Power according to which the industrial townships throughout country will not face any more electricity cut”. (another deception of Ahmadinejad’s government). - (Jomhori Islami daily July 18) Students Committee in Iran (Supporters of PMOI) http://www.facebook.com/pages/Iran-Students-Committee/222864894745?ref=ts Iranstudentscommittee.blospot.com Facebook Profile: Sarzamin Pak

Brief - Sanctions- Khamenei and IRGC

Brief

Sanctions- Khamenei and IRGC

Status of IRGC after 1929 resolution of sanctions
Khamenei’s fear from his regime’s downfall

July 28, 2010
On July 14 in a meeting with the members of IRGC Khamenei reminded them their reason for existence and said: “in regard with the anti-Revolutionists IRGC has preserved its identity in Tehran’s streets, in Kurdistan events, during eight years of war (Iran-Iraq war) and in other events and scenes. It has been flexible enough to reorganize itself according to the necessities of the time so that it can act to its duties”.

Khamenei expressed his fear from the international pressures and vast sanctions on one side and the uprisings of people of Iran on the other side and demanded that his suppressive IRGC members act to ‘their main task and be ready’.

Khamenei continued by talking about the sayings of US authorities on change in regime’s behavior and said: “their real intention is to try to change the course of ‘Islamic Revolution’”.
He said in regard with sanctions: “they speak as such that we would think there is something terribly dangerous behind these threats.
Whether these threats are hollow or real we should undoubtedly be ready for preserving the Revolution in any circumstances.
During the ‘sedition’ of the last year they jumped in the middle of the scene and supported those responsible for the sedition”.

Khamenei tries to raise the morale of his defected forces
At the end of his speech while trying to show the situation of IRGC as sound and safe Khamenei said that the ‘propagation of the enemies and their followers inside Iran against IRGC shows how much this force is affective in continuation of the Revolution’.
He advised IRGC forces to increasingly be aware from within the force and always feel responsible in regard with ‘their great duties’.
To keep his defected forces in high spirit Khamenei praised them and said: “even the retired members of IRGC are still counted as its members and like other members they must be taken into account”.

Note:

After Khamenei’s meeting with IRGC members and demanding them to put step forward for confronting the hard conditions the regime is facing, in a session with the heads of IRGC Ahmadinejad asked them to ‘cut the arms of arrogant countries and bullies”.
Jafari the head of IRGC said too: “wise distribution of IRGC missions is one other fields of the Leaderships supervision. Its missions must be proportional to up to date threats.
IRGC does not only act in military aspects but it must be present in all political, security and cultural fields.
Trying to prevent schism within IRGC, jafari said: “if some one wants to be an IRGC member he must not participate in any grouping within the force”.

Jafari admitts to the plundering role of IRGC:
“Some insist that IRGC and Bassij are (just) military forces but Khamenei emphasizes that Bassij is not a military force and IRGC is not only a military force. They have other responsibilities in cultural, political and security fields.
It is essential that all forces be at the state of alert to be able to confront any potential attack on the country or in confronting domestic problems such as insecurity in the society. If we just say that these two are military organs and we look just from this point of view for preserving the Revolution this would be the start of our divergence. There is a soft-war going on today and the enemy attacks more each day. He reminded that the philosophy behind the existence of IRGC and Bassij is preserving the Establishment”.

Please pay attention to some other news about how much regime’s heads of state are horrified of the sanctions and a potential military attack on one hand and fear from the uprising and schism on the other hand:

On Line Site- July 21, 2010
Ahmad Khatami: the current of sedition is like fire under the ashes, it might flame again
In the ‘Week of Pasdar’ (IRGC member) and in a gathering with the presence of Bassijis and Pasdars in East Azerbaijan Ahmad Khatami pointed to the IRGC’s morale and said: “IRGC had done well in all military, political, cultural and defensive fields during these 31 years. Pasdars must be always aware and observe the moves and barriers. They must stop the enemies’ conspiracies before they even start, otherwise the sedition might happen again.
Though the current of sedition has stopped temporarily but this possibility exists that it flames just like fire under the ashes.

Fars News Agency- July 22, 2010
Rezaee the head of Valie-e-Faghih’s representative organ in IRGC’s land forces:
Propagation for the culture of Ahle-Bait1 is one of the responsibilities of IRGC
Rezaee said: “we must have more religious studies and dedicate more time to religious issues. We must study the culture of Imams and spread it in the society.”

ISNA News Agency- July 23, 2010
Yadollah Javani the head of political bureau of IRGC: “the enemy tries to impose its demnad on the other side by forcing that side to accept them.

Jabari the head of the so-called Ali-ben-Abitaleb Corps said on July 17, 2010: “IRGC has stood firm the seditions during last 30 years and had prevented the infiltration of the enemies with all its force and strength. He added: “this corps has 100 battalions called as Imam Hossein Battalions and it fights both military threats and threats due to soft-war”.

International sanctions have made IRGC suppressive organ desperate
It is good to point here that after the endorsement of the fourth course of sanctions of Security Council and complementary sanctions by EU, US and Australia that had especially aimed IRGC this suppressive organ has become desperate and is trying to give away the share of trade companies under its influence.
As an example it has given away the shares of Sipa car manufacturing company or it’s withdrawing from the huge project of South Pars Gas & Oil fields.

These sanctions are also a blow on Ahmadinejad’s quest who wanted to have more control over oil and gas industry by entering IRGC in it.
Khatam-Al Anbia Corps responsible for this project has signed contraction of 2.09 billion dollars worth for development of two phases of this field. The deal included series of projects such as petrochemistry and oil excavation.

1* Ahle Bait is referred to profit Mohammad and the Imams which regime claims to be their followers but this fundamentalist regime is the number one enemy of Islam, profit Mohammad and the Imams.

The Beginning of the End of the Clerical Rule in Iran
No.675

Aftermaths of sanctions

Gas contract almost stopped
Tehran, July 26, 2010
The Republic of Azerbaijan and Turkey have singed a contract for gas exchanged bringing under question the contract between Azerbaijan and the clerical regime known as ‘Swap’.
According to Swap Republic of Azerbaijan wanted to transfer natural gas through Iran to Nakhjavan Republic its independent state.
By the new contract between Azerbaijan and Turkey about 200 km of gas pipes will be constructed in Turkey which will bring the transfer of natural gas through Iran under question.

Sanctions’ pressure on IRGC
Tehran, July 26, 2010
Asalouyeh is the main vein of Iran’s future economy. Gas pipe lines transfer gas from south to domestic factories but the project is facing problems.
Formerly about 100000 workers were at work in this gas and oil field but right now only 16000 workers are there, which is a sign that the development and future of this field is under question.
With the sanctions that also target foreign companies if they invest in Iran’s oil and gas industry the regime is helpless in this project.
Recently the project has been put in the hands of the enterprises affiliated with regime and its 21 billion dollar expenses must be provided by the oil income, Iranian banks or by the bonds that the regime intends to print. Even if the money is solved there would still be problem with the technology needed for the job.
Khatam- Al Anbia Base of IRGC that has singed the contract for the developing project has been put in the list of sanctions and had to leave both the project and billions of dollars.

The agency also reported that regime’s export of oil has reduced from 2,691,000 barrels in 2005 to 1,984,000 barrels during the third quarter of 1388.

Factories are closed

A factory in Tehran closed because of shortage of electricity
Tehran, July 24, 2010
Tehran’s Plastic Production Factory one of the largest factories in production of plastic material is closed for two weeks because of cut of electricity.
The government has ordered them to close the factory and it will be closed for at least another two weeks.
Out of work hours jobs at the factory stopped two months ago because of the electricity problem and now the factory is closed.
This has raised a great discontent amongst the workers of the factory.

Shahrak Sanati factories closed
Tehran, July 24, 2010
Workers of Shahrak Sanati Factory in Abbas Abad of Tehran say that most of the factories of this complex are closed because the factories are not able to pay back their loans or they have financial problems. Only a few of them are running. These too are facing problems in electricity and water.

Constant cut in electricity; Hakim Medicine Production Factory closed
Tehran, July 24, 2010
Hakim factory has had no production for two weeks due to cut of electricity and is closed. There is no out of work hours jobs either and the status of the workers of this factory is not clear which has made them worry and discontent.

More problems

Fire departments face problems
Tehran, July 26, 2010
After the recent sanctions one of the systems that is facing problems is fire extinguishing system. It is facing problems in providing spare parts for automatic security fire extinguishing systems. These parts were provided formerly from England but the import of these parts has stopped and their price in black market is ten times.

Situation of factories producing spare parts for country’s power system
Tehran, July 26, 2010
Currently because the ministry of power has no budget to pay its debts to the production factories of spare parts for country’s power system, these factories are facing increasing financial problems.
As the government pays no money to these factories they had to borrow money from banks which they are not able to pay back.
Most of these kinds of factories are facing this crisis and because of this, two managers of these factories had committed suicide.
Some other managers who were not able to pay back their loans are banned from going out of the country.

Medicine producing factories facing crisis
Tehran, July 26, 2010
Most of the medicine producing factories provided their raw material from European factories but after the sanctions they had to import these materials from China and India.
After the recent sanctions on bank exchanges these factories are facing problems in the import from these countries too.
One of the managers of these factories said: we don’t know what our situation would be the next day and the effects of sanctions will be obvious in our factory soon.

Factories in East Tehran face electricity problems
Tehran, July 26, 2010
Workers of industrial factories in east of Tehran say that they do not have electricity about 4 to 5 hours per day.
This cut is at the active working hours of the factories and has caused lots of damages and protests.
The government has announced that this problem will exist until the end of Ramadan.

Gasoline

Gasoline out of line; 500 tomans per liter
Tehran, July 28, 2010
As the lines for gasoline get more crowded each day, black market for gasoline has come to existence.
Some sell free gasoline around the gas stations on price of 500 tomans and lots of people pay the price so that they won’t need to stay in lines.
One of the buyers: “I am really sorry that the government cannot even control the daily price of gasoline and cannot provide it. It is because of that, that gasoline is sold as such and pressure increases on people.”

UPDATE ON IRAN - JULY 27, 2010

The Beginning of the End of the Clerical Rule in Iran
No.673

Sanctions

International sanctions make it tougher on Iran
Tehran, July 25, 2010
The withdrawal of western enterprises such as Total, Shell, and Halliburton from the project for the development and bringing South Pars natural gas field to execution has devastatingly slowed down the most important economical project of clerical dictatorship.
Regime is now facing difficulties in buying equipments and renting digging equipments. Most of the factories related to these equipments are shut down because of the lack of primary materials and their workers are jobless.

Clerical dictatorship ousted from world’s financial establishment
Tehran, July 25, 2010
As the sanctions get tougher on the clerical regime it is isolated in world’s financial establishment. It is now negotiating with China to receive the oil income in Chian’s currency.
It is to be mentioned that the central bank of United Arab Emirates has said nay to regime’s request for substituting Euro with Dirham and has called this idea a joke.

Low quality of gasoline and its problems for taxi drivers
Tehran, July 24, 2010
ISC reports that taxi drivers say that the quality of gasoline has drastically dropped.
For an example driving a route that consumed 7 liters of gasoline before would consume 8.5 liters with the new quality of gasoline and the amount of ration given to drivers has not increased.
The drivers have to buy two third of their ration at the price of 400 tomans per liter from non-governmental sources.

The Downfall

Schism deepens within the regime
Tehran, July 25, 2010
Last week was a witnessing to deepening of schism within the regime.
The disputes amongst majlis and Ahmadinejda’s government increased. Larijani the head of Majlis summoned Minister of Education, Science and research to Majlis to be questioned.
Following the attacks of Larijani’s band against Ahmadinejad regime’s MP, Nasrollah Torabi brought the two-days holiday announced by Ahmadinejad’s government during Bazaar’s strike under question and asked for ‘the real reason of the holidays’.
In a counter attack MPs from Ahmadinejad’s band line-up against Ali Larijani the head of Majlis and said that his sayings were aligned with the enemies’ goals against the Establishment.
Gholamhossein Elham and Mullah Kabi (Kabi is a member of Council of Guidance and a key element of Ahmadinejad’s band) were purged by Mullah Larijani the head of regime’s Judiciary.
The events of last week very well shows that the crisis-stricken regime of Velayat-e-Faghih has gone one step closer to its downfall while the people and resistance of Iran has taken a huge step towards the final victory (pointing to the ruling of US court of appeal for delisting of PMOI).

Mullah Navab: hardliners are in danger of branching
Tehran, July 24, 2010
The political secretary of a regime’s organization called as ‘Rohaniat Mobarez (struggling clergymen)’ affiliated with Khamenei’s band expressed their concern about branching in this band.

Brief - Islamizing universities in Velayat-e-Faghih’s Establishment in Iran!

Brief

Islamizing universities
in Velayat-e-Faghih’s Establishment!

Tehran July 26, 2010

Regime’s fear of universities and the students has escalated hundred times after the breakage of Khamenei’s talisman and after the students become the pioneers in the nationwide uprising of Iran.

In a terrible rush and by taking advantage of the summer holidays the clerical regime is trying hard to ‘Islamize the trend of education’ in the country bringing this excuse that Social Science has come from West or by firing secular professors or burying the bones of the casualties of Iran- Iraq war at the universities.

In the current week Sadegh Larijani said about teaching Social Sciences that: “the Social Science that we teach has come from the West. In a country that is based on faith in God and monotheism and moves based on Koran can we lean on Social Science? We should not spread the physiological, sociological and anthropology theories that do not comply with religious defaults”.

Firing professors
In Islamizing Universities, Ahmadinejad’s government has been firing professors. During the recent week four members of the Scientific Board of the Meli University have been ousted by Ministry of Science. In the academic year of 2009-2010 more than 150 professors and members of the scientific boards of the universities have been either fired or forcedly retired before its time.

burying bones of the casualties of Iran- Iraq war
In addition to that the Ministry of Science and Techniques has the plan of ‘burying bones of the casualties of Iran- Iraq war’ at the universities during the summer vacations. It is for two years that this plan has been approved but due to students protests against this act regime has not been able to implement it at the universities so far.
To have a review over the history of ‘Islamizing universities’ we better point to the sayings of Khomeini before and after he took power.
In 1970 Khomeini said about students and universities: “on groundless excuses they raid on the universities and drag the honorable youths to prisons and barracks. We have become very sorry about the recent events at Iran’s universities and the vicious and merciless raids of the oppressing system against the students”.
After Khomeini took power in the mid-spring of 1980 after the cultural coup d’etat at the universities he said: “our universities are exploited ones. They train people who are pro-west... Our universities are not beneficial for our nation”.
After the cultural coup d’etat Khomeini closed universities for three years under the name of Islamizing them but in vein.

Regime’s current Valie-e-Faghih, again Khamenei brought up the issue last year saying that Social Science units of the universities are not Islamic.

Rahim Safavi the former head of IRGC and now advisor of Khamenei said last year: “to Islamize the universities the general unit of ‘becoming acquainted with Sacred Defense’ (what regime calls the eight years of Iran- Iraq war) is approved at the Ministry of Science”.

Hadad Adel another top element of khamenei said: “We greatly anticipate the new Minister of Science to Islamize the universities. I hope that it would soon come true with the help of religious assemblies and the High Council of Cultural Revolution of this ministry”.

It is clear that these words are signs of the historical defeat of Khamenei in confronting universities and the students.
With all those killings and suppression, with purging of professors and students, after 30 years of regime’s ominous rule and the encroachment of Bassiji’s, Harasat’s and Disciplinary Committee’s hooligans at the universities, what this regime gained from the universities is only the cries of ‘death to dictator’, ‘Seyed Ali (Khamenei) Pinochet, Iran will never be Chile’ and ‘Khamenei is a murderer his rule is void’.

These slogans cried from the throat of students and academicians clearly speak of defiance of this regime in its totality.
Khamenei and his gang will take to the grave their wish of ‘Islamizing universities’.
The great bell of the death of the dictator is being ringed.

He added: “we thank God that these days there are more than 100 foreign battleships in Persian Gulf and Amman Sea as at hand targets and whenever the honorable leader wishes to or whenever the enemy wants to commit slightest hostile act against Islamic Establishment all the trained IRGC and Bassij forces are ready to react immediately”.
Safari continued: “a great number of human forces are dedicated to each great US battleship. If we sink a few of them a great number of US forces will be buried in Persian Gulf and we do have this capacity”.
About the permission for inspection of suspicious ships of regime by the resolution 1929 Safari said “if the enemy wants to commit as such it doesn’t matter which country the enemy is; any country has great trade interests in Persian Gulf and we will retaliate. Each ship with their flag will be the subject of our retaliation because we see this resolution as illogical and bullying”.
He continued: “we will not only react in Persian Gulf. As the army’s navy exists in free waters we do have plans for far distant locations too. So I don’t think that the enemy would dare to act as such and if it does it will regret it”.

Tehran, July 24, 2010
Ahmadi Moghadam the head of regime’s SSF revealed that regime’s Majlis has approved a yearly budget of 120 billion tomans for the security of the borders.
Fars News Agency affiliated with IRGC said: “the fact that the budget for the security of the borders is not clear is a problem in that regard. 120 billion tomans has been approved but eventually only 30 to 40 billion tomans will be dedicated to it which is not enough at all”.
Moghadam said: “if we want to close the borders we need 200 billion tomans per year...”
Expressing the fear of the clerical dictatorship from people’s uprising he said: “Islamic Republic is like an Island in an unstable ocean”.
