Sanctions

International sanctions make it tougher on Iran

The withdrawal of western enterprises such as Total, Shell, and Halliburton from the project for the development and bringing South Pars natural gas field to execution has devastatingly slowed down the most important economical project of clerical dictatorship.
Regime is now facing difficulties in buying equipments and renting digging equipments. Most of the factories related to these equipments are shut down because of the lack of primary materials and their workers are jobless.

Clerical dictatorship ousted from world’s financial establishment

As the sanctions get tougher on the clerical regime it is isolated in world’s financial establishment. It is now negotiating with China to receive the oil income in Chian’s currency.
It is to be mentioned that the central bank of United Arab Emirates has said nay to regime’s request for substituting Euro with Dirham and has called this idea a joke.

Low quality of gasoline and its problems for taxi drivers

ISC reports that taxi drivers say that the quality of gasoline has drastically dropped.
For an example driving a route that consumed 7 liters of gasoline before would consume 8.5 liters with the new quality of gasoline and the amount of ration given to drivers has not increased.
The drivers have to buy two third of their ration at the price of 400 tomans per liter from non-governmental sources.


The Downfall

Schism deepens within the regime

Last week was a witnessing to deepening of schism within the regime.
The disputes amongst majlis and Ahmadinejda’s government increased. Larijani the head of Majlis summoned Minister of Education, Science and research to Majlis to be questioned.
Following the attacks of Larijani’s band against Ahmadinejad regime’s MP, Nasrollah Torabi brought the two-days holiday announced by Ahmadinejad’s government during Bazaar’s strike under question and asked for ‘the real reason of the holidays’.
In a counter attack MPs from Ahmadinejad’s band line-up against Ali Larijani the head of Majlis and said that his sayings were aligned with the enemies’ goals against the Establishment.
Gholamhossein Elham and Mullah Kabi (Kabi is a member of Council of Guidance and a key element of Ahmadinejad’s band) were purged by Mullah Larijani the head of regime’s Judiciary.
The events of last week very well shows that the crisis-stricken regime of Velayat-e-Faghih has gone one step closer to its downfall while the people and resistance of Iran has taken a huge step towards the final victory (pointing to the ruling of US court of appeal for delisting of PMOI).

Mullah Navab: hardliners are in danger of branching

The political secretary of a regime’s organization called as ‘Rohaniat Mobarez (struggling clergymen)’ affiliated with Khamenei’s band expressed their concern about branching in this band.
Online Site reported on July 23 that mullah Abolhasan Navab the political secretary of ‘Rohaniat Mobarez’ admitted to the increase of schism and spread of it amongst Khamenei’s band and said: “preserving the unity of hardliners is currently an important priority”.

Mullah Ahmad Khatami: the current of sedition is just like fire under the ashes it might flame again

Speaking amongst some Bassijis and IRGC forces mullah Ahmad Khatami a member of the board of directors of regime’s Assembly of Experts while calling the nationwide uprising of people of Iran as ‘sedition’ expressed his concern and said: “IRGC forces must be awake, guard the Islamic revolution, observe the movements of the enemies of Islamic Revolution and prevent the enemies conspiracies right were they begin otherwise ‘seditions’ will repeat. We must be aware because though the current of sedition has temporarily stopped but it can be flamed like the fire under the ashes anytime. We must not be negligent about enemies’ deception”.
Khatami pointed to the fact that IRGC forces become continuously defected and said: “there should be keen dialogues with the goal of preventing the defection of the forces and laying the ground for prosperity in IRGC’s programs”.

Jafari: soft-war and defection of IRGC forces

Speaking amongst a group of Bassijis and IRGC forces in Semnan Province, Jafari the general commander of IRGC expressed his fear from the continuation of the uprising for the downfall of clerical dictatorship and asked IRGC forces to be ready at any time.
He said: “it is necessary that forces be always ready to confront a potential attack against the country and the problems that jeopardize the security around the society; but this is not enough”.
Jafari said that regime’s demoralized forces must not be indifferent and said: “if we are satisfied with that we will go astray because the enemy will not destroy the revolution only by war and war-like threats and insecurity… we are amid a soft-war today and the enemy attacks us more each day. Those who have problems with the revolution for any reason are affected by the ‘soft-war;”.


Resistance

Political prisoner Reza Joshan in critical condition

On Monday July 26 at 11 am the political prisoner Reza Joshan who is on hunger strike for more than a week was transferred to Gohardasht’s treatment section while unconscious but he was returned to the prison’s ward after a short while though he was still in critical condition.
Mr. Joshan has been under torture since 4 months ago because he had resisted asking pardon from Khamenei and called his family in that regard. He was transferred to ward 6 of criminal prisoners and murders.
Reza has been banned from any visit for five months and was not permitted to call them since.
Last week in protest to the tortures and harassment of regime’s henchmen he announced that he will go on hunger strike and now he is in critical condition.
In another event Mr. Khaled Hardani a political prisoner in ward 4 of Gohardasht is on hunger strike.
He was transferred to solitary cells after the raid of regime’s mercenaries on the political prisoners in ward 4 on last Thursday. He is still in solitary cell.
Mr. Hardani is suffering from bad stomach and breathing problems and is on hunger strike since last Thursday.

The decree of execution of Sakine Mohamadi Ashtiani still stands

Though the decree for stoning to death of Sakine is stopped temporarily but the decree for her execution still stands, this has concentrated the world’s attention on the issue of execution in Iran.
The decree for her stoning rose an international wrath and international condemnation of the clerical dictatorship and many personalities in the world condemned it.
Women are faced with medieval ways of execution in the clerical regime.
Stoning to death has become legal since 1979 revolution in Iran.

Mullah Larijani: countries preventing veil do not have the right to speak about human rights

Mullah Sadegh Larijani the head of regime’s Judiciary speaking amongst some of the henchmen of regime’s judiciary who are absurdly called ‘the Headquarters of Human Rights’ reacted to global condemnation of clerical dictatorship in regard with human rights ,continuation of execution and torture and claimed those countries that prevent veil have no right to express their opinions about human rights.
He tasked the head of this headquarter, Javad Larijani to confront the Charter of Human Rights and said: “we must take policies based on divine values to confront the false slogans of human rights”.
He said that regime’s High Security Council has approved plans in that regard.

22 female political prisoners condemned to 110 years of imprisonment on the whole

22 female political prisoners except for four of them whose status are not clear yet; Shiva Nazar Ahari, Kobra Zaghedost, Farah Vazham and Fatemeh Khoramjoo, have received heavy decrees, 110 years on the whole.
There are also other female political prisoner in Evin’s solitary confinements and wards including Zahra Jabari an Iranian-Dutch citizen who was arrested in last year’s Ashura and is still in ward 209 after 7 months.
1-Bahareh Hedayat; 9.5 years, student activist arrested on December 31, 2009 (six months for offending Ahmadinejad, 2 years for offending Khamenei, 5 years for acting against (regime’s) security and participating in the gatherings plus 2 years of suspended imprisonment which is added and will be executed.
2-Motahare Bahrami; 10 years, arrested on December 27 along with his husband and son Mr. Daneshpoor Moghadam and Ahmad Moghadam (both condemned to execution). She was first condemned to execution charged with ‘Moharebe’ and her decree was decreased to 10 years imprisonment and exile to Rajaee Shahr Prison in revision court.
3-Raihaneh Haj Ibrahim Dabagh; 15 years, arrested in Ashura along with Motahareh Bahrami was first condemned to execution. Her decree was decreased to 15 years imprisonment and exile to Rajaee Shahr Prison in revision court.
4-Maryam Akbari Monfared; 15 years, was arrested on December 31, 2009 after Ashura events at her house. She is charged with Moharebe by having connection with dissident organization. She has 3 small children.
5-Fatemeh Ziaee Azad; 2 years, was arrested during the events after election.
6-Hengameh Shahidi; 6 years, journalist and the advisor of the general secretary and also a member of National Trust Party was summoned on February 25, 2010 to serve six years in prison. She was once feed on a bail of 90 million tomans after four months of detention.
7-Mahdieh Golroo; 3 years and four months; student activist arrested on November 3, 2009. She is a member of the Council for Right of Education. The bail for her is 700 million tomans which her family cannot pay. She is suffering from physical problems at the prison.
8-Alieh Eghdamdost; 3 years, a women’s right activist who was transferred to Evin Prison on January 30, 2010. She is over 60 years of age and is now at public ward of Evin Prison. She is arrested for participating in a gathering for defending women’s right on June 12, 2006.
9-Kobra Zaghedost; she was arrested in a ceremony for commemoration of martyrs of events after election and is in prison for more than a year without a clear status.
10-Zahra Jabari; 4 year imprisonment along with corporal punishment, arrested on Qods Day’s uprising. She was in prison for 7 months without any clear status and was deprived from seeing her child.
11-Kefayat Malek Mohammadi; 5 years, arrested along with her husband in Ashura. He is also in ward 350 of Evin Prison with unclear staturs. Kefayat is charged with cooperation with PMOI.
12-Fatemeh Rahnama; 10 years, arrested on July 29, 2009. In her file she is called a Monafegh (meaning a member of PMOI in regime) with 8 years history of imprisonment. She has ruled out the charges. Fatemeh is 48 years old and is suffering from breast cancer.
13-Farah Vazham; status unclear, she was arrested two days after Ashura at her house.
14-Masoumeh Yavari; 7 years, she came to Tehran on October 19, 2009 and was detained on charge of having connection with PMOI. She was charged with Moharebe. The representative of Tehran’s Prosecutor demanded her execution but she was condemned to 7 years imprisonment. She has no history of political activities.
15-Shabnam Madadzadeh; 5 years, arrested on February 21, 2010. She is the deputy head of Tehran’s office of Tahkim Vahdat and the political secretary of Students Association of Tehran’s Teachers’ Training. She is charged with ‘Moharebe’ and acting against national security.
16-Shiva Nazar Ahari; status unclear, human rights and women activist arrested for the second time during last year on December 20, 2009 and transferred to solitary cells of ward 209 of Evin Prison.
17-Fathemeh Khoramjoo; status unclear, arrested on February 6, 2010 charged with having connection with foreigners.
18-Parvin Javad Zadeh; 8.5 years, a blogger who published the event of the uprising in his weblog was arrested in Ashura by IRGC forces. She is 22 years old and the youngest political prisoner in Nesvan ward of Evin. She spent the three first month of arrest in solitary cells. She is now charged with Moharebe.
19-Tebia Nian; 1.5 years, a Bahaie.
20-Manijeh Nasrollahi; 3 years and four months, a Bahaie citizen. She was once arrested on July 17, 2009 and freed after two weeks. She was arrested again on February 27, 2010.
21-Sahba Rezvani; 3 years, also a Bahaie citizen was arrested on December 16, 2009. She was first kept in Semnan prison and then transferred to Evin.
22-Atefeh Nabavi; 4 years, arrested on June 15, 2009 along with her cousin Ziaedin Nabavi and was transferred to ward 209 of Evin.


Workers of Iran

Workers of Payab Kothar Company in Darayan Dam on strike

The workers, working in this dam about 15 kilometers from Paveh went on strike since July 19, 2010. These 500 workers went on strike because they had not received their wages for 4 months.
