Khamenei’s fear from his regime’s downfall

On July 14 in a meeting with the members of IRGC Khamenei reminded them their reason for existence and said: “in regard with the anti-Revolutionists IRGC has preserved its identity in Tehran’s streets, in Kurdistan events, during eight years of war (Iran-Iraq war) and in other events and scenes. It has been flexible enough to reorganize itself according to the necessities of the time so that it can act to its duties”.
Khamenei expressed his fear from the international pressures and vast sanctions on one side and the uprisings of people of Iran on the other side and demanded that his suppressive IRGC members act to ‘their main task and be ready’.
Khamenei continued by talking about the sayings of US authorities on change in regime’s behavior and said: “their real intention is to try to change the course of ‘Islamic Revolution’”.
He said in regard with sanctions: “they speak as such that we would think there is something terribly dangerous behind these threats.
Whether these threats are hollow or real we should undoubtedly be ready for preserving the Revolution in any circumstances.
During the ‘sedition’ of the last year they jumped in the middle of the scene and supported those responsible for the sedition”.
Khamenei tries to raise the morale of his defected forces
At the end of his speech while trying to show the situation of IRGC as sound and safe Khamenei said that the ‘propagation of the enemies and their followers inside Iran against IRGC shows how much this force is affective in continuation of the Revolution’.
He advised IRGC forces to increasingly be aware from within the force and always feel responsible in regard with ‘their great duties’.
To keep his defected forces in high spirit Khamenei praised them and said: “even the retired members of IRGC are still counted as its members and like other members they must be taken into account”.
Note:
After Khamenei’s meeting with IRGC members and demanding them to put step forward for confronting the hard conditions the regime is facing, in a session with the heads of IRGC Ahmadinejad asked them to ‘cut the arms of arrogant countries and bullies”.
Jafari the head of IRGC said too: “wise distribution of IRGC missions is one other fields of the Leaderships supervision. Its missions must be proportional to up to date threats.
IRGC does not only act in military aspects but it must be present in all political, security and cultural fields.
Trying to prevent schism within IRGC, jafari said: “if some one wants to be an IRGC member he must not participate in any grouping within the force”.
Jafari admitts to the plundering role of IRGC:
“Some insist that IRGC and Bassij are (just) military forces but Khamenei emphasizes that Bassij is not a military force and IRGC is not only a military force. They have other responsibilities in cultural, political and security fields.
It is essential that all forces be at the state of alert to be able to confront any potential attack on the country or in confronting domestic problems such as insecurity in the society. If we just say that these two are military organs and we look just from this point of view for preserving the Revolution this would be the start of our divergence. There is a soft-war going on today and the enemy attacks more each day. He reminded that the philosophy behind the existence of IRGC and Bassij is preserving the Establishment”.

Ahmad Khatami: the current of sedition is like fire under the ashes, it might flame again
In the ‘Week of Pasdar’ (IRGC member) and in a gathering with the presence of Bassijis and Pasdars in East Azerbaijan Ahmad Khatami pointed to the IRGC’s morale and said: “IRGC had done well in all military, political, cultural and defensive fields during these 31 years. Pasdars must be always aware and observe the moves and barriers. They must stop the enemies’ conspiracies before they even start, otherwise the sedition might happen again.
Though the current of sedition has stopped temporarily but this possibility exists that it flames just like fire under the ashes.

Propagation for the culture of Ahle-Bait1 is one of the responsibilities of IRGC
Rezaee said: “we must have more religious studies and dedicate more time to religious issues. We must study the culture of Imams and spread it in the society.”

Yadollah Javani the head of political bureau of IRGC: “the enemy tries to impose its demnad on the other side by forcing that side to accept them.
Jabari the head of the so-called Ali-ben-Abitaleb Corps said on July 17, 2010: “IRGC has stood firm the seditions during last 30 years and had prevented the infiltration of the enemies with all its force and strength. He added: “this corps has 100 battalions called as Imam Hossein Battalions and it fights both military threats and threats due to soft-war”.
International sanctions have made IRGC suppressive organ desperate
It is good to point here that after the endorsement of the fourth course of sanctions of Security Council and complementary sanctions by EU, US and Australia that had especially aimed IRGC this suppressive organ has become desperate and is trying to give away the share of trade companies under its influence.
As an example it has given away the shares of Sipa car manufacturing company or it’s withdrawing from the huge project of South Pars Gas & Oil fields.
These sanctions are also a blow on Ahmadinejad’s quest who wanted to have more control over oil and gas industry by entering IRGC in it.
Khatam-Al Anbia Corps responsible for this project has signed contraction of 2.09 billion dollars worth for development of two phases of this field. The deal included series of projects such as petrochemistry and oil excavation.
