Mourners chant slogans agaisnt Iranian regime in Khoram Abad despite heavy security measures


Khoram Abad – Dec. 15, 2010 – According to reports from Khoram Abad, the iranian regime has imposed severe seurity measures on mourning groups on Ashura. Mourning groups are not allowed to leave their own neighborhoods. To control the people even more on Ashura, the government has appointed a government approved head for the mourning groups and has also stationed a number of security force agents in each group. Despite all these measures, people chant slogans in every opportunity in the Lori native tongue. They chant ‘it is fighting day, commander pick up the banner of the struggle’, ‘we will not surrender to infamy’, ‘the cause of all evil is the rule of Yazid’ (Yazid was the ruler who killed Imam Hossein and on Ashura, Shiite Muslims take to the streets to mourn his death and pay tribute to him. In this slogan by the people of Khoram Abad, they are comparing the rule of Khamenie with the rule of Yazid).

Young people beat security forces in Shahre Rey

On December 15, at about 9 pm a number of young people in beat up five security forces from the Shah Abdolazim Police Station in Shahre Rey.
The young protesters broke the windows of a police car and chanted ‘death to Khamenei’. All the government forces who were beaten up by the people were scared and confused and were not able to show a reaction.

Security forces terrified of mourners on Ashura

December 15, 2010 – At about 2 pm, a mourning group of about 100 to 150 people which had come to Tehran from another city chanted ‘Ya Hossein’ (Hossein is a revered Shiite saint who was killed by the suppressive rule of his time) in the Hall of the Rah Ahan Train Station. Security forces were terrified of the mourning group and forced them outside and closed the doors.
