Uprising of June 10-20

Youths of Tehran call for uprising on June 20
Tehran, June 17, 2010
By writing slogans in different regions of Tehran active youths called for uprising on June 30. Some of the regions are in Shosh region Shapoor Intersection, Javadieh, in Tehranpars Amin Street, Shahr-e-ray Square, Tabrizi Street and in Farahabad Nabard Street.
Some of the slogans are:
Desperate Khamenei, June 20 is on its way,
By Iranian will, swearing to blood of the martyrs we will overthrow you on June 20,
Plundering Khamanei is overthrown on June 20,
Iranian rise June 20 is on its way,
And death to Khamenei, we’ll confront on June 20.

Nightly protest in Saghez
Saghez, June 18, 2010
In Saghez on daily bases people take into the streets in Mother Square at 10 to 12 pm and chant anti regime slogans and boo the SSF. SSF disperses people with batons.

Mostafa Qanian is commemorated in Mashad
Mashad, June 17, 2010
On June 16 a ceremony was held in section 157 of Imam Reza’s Shrine (the 8th Imam of Shiites) to pay respect to Mostafa Qanian a martyr of the nationwide uprising of June 2009.
A great number of people gathered in solidarity with the family. The number of crowd was so high that they all were not able to reach to the tomb which was located in a basement.
Regime’s security forces were present at the scene trying to disperse people.

Unannounced curfew in Tehran

In fear of uprising of residents of Tehran the clerical regime continues its unannounced curfew in the city.
SSF has round the clock patrols and check points in many of the streets causing a heavy traffic which raises in turn the wrath of people especially drivers of Taxis.

Zahedan, June 18, 2010
The clerical regime hanged a man Akbar H. in Zahedan on Thursday June 17 in Zahedan Prison.

Ahmad Montazeri: Even Shah didn’t commit such act
Qom, June 18, 2010
Ahmad Montazeri, Ayatollah’s Hosseinali Montazeri’s son pointed to the attack as his father’s and Mr. Sane’ee’s office in his letter to Shiite’s clerics and said: “we didn’t witness such behavior even in Shah’s regime”.
In this letter Mr. Montazeri wrote about the details of the attack to the offices and said that the attack started on Sunday afternoon and lasted will Monday morning. In this attack SSF, security forces and officials of the city were present.

Ali Asghar Soltanieh emphasized on the continuation of Uranium enrichment
Tehran, June 18, 2010
The clerical regime’s representative in IAEA while emphasizing on the continuation of Uranium enrichment said: “we will not stop the enrichment even a second”.
Soltanieh said: “our answer to this resolution is as before, Iran’s nuclear activities will continue and we will not stop the enrichment even a second”.

Families of 5 executed political prisoners of May 9 issued a statement

The families of political prisoners executed on May 9 issued a statement which was distributed in Sanandaj.
The statement reads in part: “Killing of any human being is killing the humanity!
...we comprehend that no decree of death can kill the hope and quest of a human being for expressing himself and demanding his rights in life...
By this statement we demand all awaken consciences, human rights organs and freedom loving and peace loving human beings to help stop the decrees of death penalty and rise throughout the world to stop political and non-political executions...
Long live the memory of those who gave their lives and were executed for seeking freedom”.

Increasing misogynous suppression

Mullah Mostafa Tabatabaeenejad a member of Judiciary Commission in regime’s parliament emphasized on suppression of women on the mullah-made excuse of ‘improper veil’ and said: “a file will be opened for those who receive fine for not having proper veil. Their penalty will increase each time. Prison, corporal punishment and fines are legal punishments we must see which one would result better.
Fine for ‘improper veil’ besides being a way for more suppression of women is another way for plundering mullahs to rob from people.

Increasing pressure on labor activists
Sanandaj, June 17, 2010
On the order of Intelligence Bureau of Sanandaj and to put more pressure on labor activists some agents raided the shop of Farhad Ibrahimi a member of Committee for Coordination for Establishing Labor Organizations and confiscated the goods.
This shop has been opened for two months and during these two months this was the fifth time that the shop was attacked at. In one of the attacks the agents sealed the shop for a week.

Iran Khodro workers condemn arrest of labor activists
Tehran, June 18, 2010
In a statement workers of Iran Khodro condemned the arbitrary arrests of these days including arrests of students and labor activists and demanded their freedom. Among the labor activists arrested they named Saeed Torabian, Reza Shahabi and Alireza Akhavan. They also condemned the attack on Bus Driving Syndicate and filtering of its site.


Other News

Depriving professors of educational means results in students discontent
Tehran, June 18, 2010
A student of Khajenassir University said that a group of professors of this university had resigned because their demands for supplementary educational means have not been accepted and they have not been paid their wages.
Because of this students were not able to practice in their units which would prevent them from receiving their diplomas. Students were discontent of the fact and had protested against it.
