Mohammad Hussein Akbari the head of secretariat of Engineering Committee of Country’s Airlines Organization was quoted by Mardomsalari daily on March 6: “because Norooz is a sensitive time this committee has appointed 20 undercover inspection teams to watch over airlines’ offices full time”.

Seven students summoned to suppressive committee

In fear of students protest the clerical dictatorship summoned seven students to the suppressive committee of Noshirvani University in Babol.
These students are accused of ‘not complying with university’s regulations’ , ‘propagating on behalf of illegal or nonreligious groups’ and ‘acting against the Establishment’.

Two juveniles and a youth to be executed

Iran continues its harassment and persecution of Dervishes in Iran

On Saturday, 10 Gonabadi Dervishes were tried en masse in Borujerd. One of the lawyers of the Dervishes said after the trial that a new date was announced to see to the other charges of Dervishes in the future. At the same time, 189 other Dervishes were been summoned to court...
Before this, the representatives of the Dervishes had announced that 189 Dervishes were group trialed, a charge which was denied by the Borujerd Judiciary.
The Borujerd Judiciary said on March 5 that the Dervishes were charged with ‘disrupting public order’, ‘spreading propaganda against the government’ and ‘insulting’.

Students and workers protested in Maybod

Maybod- March 7, 2011
On Saturday March 5 the workers of three governmental tile and ceramic factories in Maybod gathered in protest in front of Azad University of this city and asked for their unpaid wages.
A great number of students of Law Faculty and Engineering Department of Azad University joined the protesting workers.
The protesters chanted ‘death to dictator’ and ‘student, worker, unit, unit’.
The protesters pointed to Ahmadinejad as ‘a small and liar dictator’ and called hiss promises as ‘hollow’.
The day before these protesting workers had blocked the Maybod-Ardakan and Maybod-Yazd roads for 20 minutes. (These roads connect provinces of Tehran, Qom, Isfahan, Yazd, Kerman and Bandar Abbas).

Anti-regime slogans posted throughout Shahr-e-Kurd University

On Thursday morning March 3 when the students of Shahr-e-Kurd University and Engineering Education Center entered their classrooms they were confronted with typed anti-regime slogans on the walls.
Some of these slogans were posted on the door of the office of Khamenei’s representative at the University.

Student in Tabriz ousted from university

Student of Tabriz Sahand University reported to ISC that 5 students of this university have been ousted from the university after they participated in nightly protest of Allah O Akbar at the university’s dormitory.
