The Downfall

Clerical dictatorship’s mad reaction to ruling out terrorist label from PMOI
Tehran, July 19, 2010
Mullah Sadegh Larijani the head of regime’s Judiciary- recently there is a movement in US and European countries to take PMOI off the list. It has been talked about in US congress and they have acted as such in France. What does this double standard manner mean?
Karami a member of Security and Foreign Policy Commission of Majlis called the decree as ‘another act against
Anoshirvan Mohseni Bandpay regime’s MP from the defeated fraction- US federal court has taken the name of the terrorist group of Monafeghin (the name regime calls PMOI) off the list.
Regime’s Jame Jam TV channel reflected Khamenei’s mourning about this issue and said: “US Court of Appeal demanded that PMOI’s name be taken off the list. The court has asked US Foreign Ministry to reconsider its decision of calling PMOI a terrorist group”.
Kayhan Daily, Khamenei’s organ wrote under the title of ‘US Federal Court announced that Monafeghin are not terrorists!’: “US Federal Court ordered US Foreign Minsitry to reconsider naming PMOI- Monafeghin group- as a terrorist group”. The daily added: “in court’s letter to US Foreign Ministry it is written: Bill Clinton’s government entered the name of PMOI in the black list in 1997 with the goal of getting close to Iran’s government but having in mind Tehran’s actions we must reconsider our decision”.
Resalat state-run daily wrote: “US Federal Revision Court answered positive to the protest of People’s Mojahedin Organization in regard with enrollment of the name of this small group in the black list…it said that the rights of this small group has not been met… In 2009 in a double standard policy in regard with terrorism EU took the name of Monafeghin off its list of terrorist organizations”.

Mostafa gave his life for freedom of Iran
Tehran, July 19, 2010

Mostafa left us too early …

On the night of June 17, on the first Wednesday after the elections, a tragedy occurred.
Mr. Ghanian intended to go to Tehran to see his son Mostafa before he went to Mashhad for the flight. He was very proud of his son and always bragged that he would soon become an architect. He was happy that with all the facilities he had placed at his disposal, Mostafa had become a good individual. He had gotten him some souvenirs and could not wait to see him.
In the time that he was travelling he was informed of the news in the country and knew that the situation was not good after the elections and election fraud. He knew that people were protesting everyday and that the government was cruelly suppressing the protests.
“I don’t think Mostafa would get himself tangled in such events”, he thought to himself. “But he is a student and will probably be involved to an extent”.
He was worried but very eager to see his son.
He came to Tehran on Thursday and went to his son’s student homelocated in Sa’adat Abad in Tehran.
Mostafa warmly greeted his father and put everything he had in his home on the table for him. They talked about the events after the elections. His father talked about his own stories.
“Allah O Akbar has started”, Mostafa said after hearing the first chants of Allah O Akbar in the night. “I’m going to chant a bit and will be rights back. The people shouldn’t feel alone”.
His father, who saw no wrong in this, did not try to stop him.
Mostafa went to the roof of the eight story building and cried “Allah O Akbar” along with the men and women in Tehran.
But apiercingsound clashed with their cries trying to drown out their chants.
It was the sound of bullets shot by government snipers who were located in places with clear views of the rooftops. They were shooting …
“Ah…”, Mostafa cried out after a bullet pierced his temple.
There was commotion everywhere. The cries of Allah O Akbar were entangled with the cries of people who had seen the death of chanters on their rooftops.
Mostafa’s father was still sitting alone in the room.
“After a while I noticed that there was a lot of commotion in the building and suddenly someone pounded on the door”, he later recalled.
“I opened the door and one of the neighbors said that Mostafa wants to talk to you on the roof. Come up”.
When his father reached the roof, he was told that he had to move in a crawling position because of the shootings. He crawled to his son on the ground and took him in his arms. Mostafa died after a few minutes in his father’s arms.
This visit was so very painful. Mr. Ghanian faced the only thing that he could not imagine after coming to Iran and visiting his son. He did not know how to carry this immense pain.
Mostafa’s family handed his body to the coroner’s and filed a complaint against his murderers. They were only allowed to receive their son’s body after a few days for burial after pledging not to hold a memorial service for him. The son, who was killed by a bullet from an unknown gun, had died in his father arms… Who were they supposed to file a complaint against? And why was it so hard to receive the body of their loved one for burial? All of these events were unimaginable for them.
After receiving Mostafa’s body, they held a small service for him in the Qoba Mosque in Mashhad but the pain and tragedy is still engraved in the hearts of the Ghanian family.
