News on Iran’s Economy

Criminal Pasdars dip their paws in Iran’s economy
Tehran, May 30, 2010
After great projects of oil and gas in South Pars gas field were given to RGC five more sites of this field were handed over to Khatamalanbia Base of this force.
Reports wired by most of Iran’s news agencies say that the value of the contract for expanding new sites in South Pars field which is handed over to RGC is more than 10 billion dollars and this has been done with approval of Ahmadinejad’s representative.
Giving the projects of these new sites to RGC comes at a time when 6000 workers in sites 15 and 16 have lost their jobs because the base has not been able to handle them.
Especially after the sham presidential election last year and RGC’s role in bloody suppression of the protests handing profitable contracts especially in fields of gas and oil over to RGC has escalated.
When Ali Larijani the head of regime’s reactionary parliament was asked about this 10 billion dollars contact he said: “it is not right that they act as such that there would be no room left for the private section. Khatamalanbia Base must not prevent economic competition in the country as if it is a large governmental institution”.
