Mother of Sohrab Arabi killed by regime’s suppressive forces last June speaks
Tehran, June 4, 2010
Parving Fahimi, Sohrab Arabi’s mother pointed to the fact that regime’s security elements have threatened her not to have a ceremony for the anniversary of Soharb’s martyrdom and said: “the sorrow of losing Sohrab and other Sohrabs (meaning all those who gave their lives for freedom) is not something to forget. I thank all the youths who have bravely endured so that the name of Sohrabs would stay alive.
Security agents came to my house and told me not to go out on his anniversary and not to speak but I tell them that I will forgive the bloodshed of my son only if all political prisoners are freed unconditionally.
I lost Sohrab because he loved peace and freedom; let other children of this land live”.
Then she read a poam:
My Judas tree, my Tulip
In your loss, blood drops of my mourning
Where ever there is a fist that’s my fist
Where ever a back is lashed that’s my back
Where ever there is a cry for freedom it’s mine
I breathe deep in the cries.

The Downfall

Ceremony of the anniversary of Khomeini’s death the showcase for regime’s isolation and its depth of schism
Tehran, June 4, 2010
The ceremony of the anniversary of Khomeini’s death with the presence of Khamenei turned to a showcase for regime’s isolation and inner schism.
The ceremony under direct supervision of Khamenei was supposed to turn to a show of power for the regime but it only revealed the public hatred towards this regime.
RGC and Bassij tried to increase fear and horror amongst people with the intention of deteriorating people’s uprising from June 10-20.
But the number of participants was much less than what regime expected. Though most of the crowd was from Bassijies and RGC forces but while Khamenei was speaking some started chanting slogans against him; some of them were arrested at the immediate raid by suppressive forces.
While Rafsanjani was present Khameni threatened the heads of the rival fraction even to execution...
He pointed to Sadegh Qotbzadeh a Khomeini companion in Paris before revolution and said: “Imam had said times and again that judging a person should be related to what he is now not to what he has been in the past...some were with Imam even in the plane he flew with to Iran but were executed because of treason”.
While not being able to hide his wrath towards Ashura Uprising after all these months and his fear from the continuation of the uprising Khamenei accused the rival fraction that it is keeping silence and said: “that was the terrible situation in Ashura and then we show sympathy with...or keep silence in regard with.... those who clearly oppose Imam and his movement, this is very important. Then can we say that we follow Imam’s path?”
Before Khameni’s speech elements of dominant fraction and Bassijies chanted slogans against the defeated fraction and pro-khamenei, and they disrupted the speech of Khomeini’s grandson.
The suppressive forces had cut phone connections around Khomeini’s tomb.

Mullahs’ cried over the inferior number of participants
Tehran, June 4, 2010
In its news media the clerical regime complained that the international news agencies didn’t take the propagation apparatus of the regime serious about the participation of millions of people in the Friday show.
Fars news agency affiliated with RGC wrote that AP had announced that only tens of thousands had participated in the ceremony and added: “an American news agency without taking the million-strong presence of people at the ceremony of Imam’s decease serious wrote that tens of thousands had participated”.

Tehran, June 4, 2010
Karrobi who had gone to Khomeini’s tomb to pay respect to him was thrown out of the place by the RGC forces and Plainclothes stationed in the premises.

Political prisoners kept in inhumane conditions in ‘Worker’s Cellblock’ in Gohardasht Prison
June 4, 2010
According to reports, political prisoners who have recently been transferred to cellblock 3 known as the Worker’s Cell in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj are kept in very inhumane conditions.
About 10 political prisoners from cellblocks 2, 4, 6 and the Kachuyi Pardis Prison in Karaj were transferred to the Worker’s Cellblock on May 30. Some of these prisoners are Ahmad Zeid Abadi, Mansour Radpour, Arjang Davoudi, Massoud Bastani, Alireza Karami Kheir Abadi, Behnam Fidaj (student arrested in the protests), Mostafa Eskandari (detained protester), Mehdi Mahmoudian, Reza Rafiei and Heshmatollah Tabarzadi.
All these prisoners are detained in the Prayer Hall in this cellblock. They lack minimum facilities and are denied beds and forced to sleep on the ground. All minimum facilities like blankets were taken out of the Prayer Hall before their arrival and stored away. Only a very dirty carpet covers the ground. These prisoners have been housed under these conditions for several days now.
Other prisoners in this cellblock constantly come and go to the Prayer Hall and prison guards hold various ceremonies which sometimes continue into the middle of the night. These ceremonies are very loud resulting in mental pressure on these political prisoners and does not let them rest.
The head of cellblock 3 is Gerami who was very active in the massacre of political prisoners in the 80’s and talks about the massacre with pride. This person is addicted to mind altering drugs and treats political prisoners inhumanely. A prison guard named Naderi was also active in the massacre and pulled the chair from under the feet of political prisoners when they were being hanged. Naderi boasts that he pulled the most chairs.

Political prisoner beaten in Evin Prison
June 3, 2010
Reza Malek who was taken to a solitary cell in cellblock 240 in Evin Prison on May 29 for insulting Khamenei, was beaten after one week of solitary while shackled from the back and blindfolded. His rib cage has broken as a result and he is unconscious.
Malek, who sustained many injuries, has now been transferred to Cellblock 8 but prison officials refuse to give him medical attention.
This is all while his jail term has ended and agents of the Ministry of Intelligence refuse to release him because a film taken from him in prison was published by the Human Rights Activists in Iran. The Ministry has asked the Judicial Department to issue another sentence for him.
