Tehran- Feb.17, 2011
Mohsen Rezaie the former head of IRGC and the current secretary of regime’s Council of Expediency expressed his fear of the re-flaming of the nationwide uprising against the clerical dictatorship and said: “We must count the path that the Leadership (Khamenei) is paving as the main path and we must not go astray. We must take this path seriously and do not be afraid of these events…”
He counted regime’s survival conditional to defending Khamenei and added: “the issue of Velayat-e-Faghieh and defending the Leadership is a must for us and we put everything we have into it. The foreigners are trying to baffle this…The one who believes in Islamic Republic must clearly separate his course of action from the diverging and mutinous actions”.
Rezaie then attacked US State Department for its support of the freedom loving movement of Iranians and said: “these hypocritical words of US are meddling in our country’s affairs. Mrs. Clinton who says that they are supporting the protesters full force has no right to meddle in our interior affairs”.
