Nasrin Sotoodeh tried again

Nasrin Sotoodeh, lawyer and human rights activist who is already condemned to 11 years imprisonment based on hollow accusations is tried again on Feb. 2 charge with ‘not having proper veil’; she didn’t have veil in a taped video!
The branch involved is branch 26 of the so-called Revolutionary Court and the judge is Pir Abbasi.
She is in solitary cell since the end of summer of 2010 and has spent a long time of her term in hunger strike.

New slogans: death to dictator whether in Tunisia or Iran

Getting closer to the anniversary of anti-monarchy revolution on Feb. 11 new slogans are written in some regions of Tehran.
- Zarabkhaneh, Negarestan Zomorodian St: death to dictator/ death to Khamenei/ freedom loving students of Iran be ready for overthrowing the dictator.
- Shoosh, around Razi Park, Maleki St: Bahman is the month of fight, Khamenei will shake/ remembering those who recently fall for freedom, rise, rise.
- Aghdasieh, behind Chamran Hospital, Golnar St: death to dictator/ Bahman= Freedom/ Bahman= death to Khamenei.


City of Zanjan:
- Khomeini St. before Enghelab Square, Taleghani St: death to the principle of Velayat-e-Faghieh.
- Boulevard St: Hail to freedom, hail to those who fall for freedom.
- Rasol Square: executions in the recent week are condemned/ political prisoners must be freed.
- Zanjan University, Paeen Kooh St. at the corridors: a student will die but will not surrender to oppression/ Iran’s Students Movement condemns the executions in the recent week/ political prisoner must be freed.

First trip of regime’s new Foreign Minister cancelled because of sanctions

Due to international sanctions the clerical regime had to cancel the first trip of its new Foreign Minister.
On Saturday Jan. 29, regime’s official sources announced that only a few hours after Salehi was endorsed by the parliament he left Tehran towards Ethiopia. Bur only a few hours later regime’s media announced that his trip is cancelled and claimed that the reason was that his schedule was too full.
On Sunday Foreign Ministry’s spokesman, Mihmanparast without pointing to this defeat protested Salehi’s name being in the list of EU’s sanction and said: “having in mind the new responsibility of Salehi as the Foreign Minister even that illegal endorsement of Security Council must be counted as not valid.

Ahmadinejad’s Minister of Road & Transportation ousted; Schism within Khamenei’s band

In the morning of Feb. 1 regime’s parliament voted negative to Hamid Behbahani the Minister of Road & Transportation of Ahmadinejad’s cabinet and ousted him. In this session, neither the minister nor Ahmadinejad, were present.
