Female students; Department of Engineering
Tehran- Feb.8, 2011
A group of female students of Department of Engineering at Tehran University issued a statement in the days of the anniversary of anti-monarchy revolution.
The statement reads in part:
We don’t want brutality and oppression behind this creed ,
We don’t want lash and club from this creed.
In the history of the nations what is left is their withstanding against the dictators. What has always been repeated in the history is the victory of people over dictators.
They might kill and oppress to add to their lives but no power has been able to stand in front of a nation that has willed to be free…
Though what we started was viciously suppressed but this flame gave hope to the hearts of all nations; now the dictators have no place to stay on this globe…
It gives this message to the dictators that the night will not always prevail. We will start a cry in Bahman to gain back our rights and the cry will last until these rights are achieved…”
