Oct. 26, 2010
One of the professors of the Free Isfahan University who will remain anonymous (for security reasons) has been temporarily released from prison after being physically and mentally tortured in detention.
According to our sources, this university student was beaten and tortured after protesting a sentence suspending him from this university. After paying a 150 million toman (150,000 dollar) bail, he was temporarily released until his trial. Some of the charges made against him were acting against national security, creating anxiety for the public, disrupting the order of the university and cooperating with foreign elements.
These pictures, which were taken after his release, show the torture signs on his body. (Human Rights Activists in Iran)
