Disconnection of Internet
Tehran, April 28, 2010
- Most of internet networks of the country were facing repeated disconnections during the last few days. In addition to disconnections the low  speed of the internet has caused problems for the daily affairs of people. Ministry of Communication is counted responsible.

Parasites in Isfahan
Isfahan, April 28, 2010
- A member of ISC reported from Isfahan that  parasites are so densely emmitted on the satellites that their connections are completely cut. Arabsat, Hotbird and Utelsat are amongst these satellites.

Presence of security agents surges in Arak
Arak, April 28, 2010
- During the last few days the presence of security agents and SSF has incereased throughout the city. They are patrolling the whole city.
During the nights they station check points in the streets and different regions of Arak in addition to patroling the city.

Arbitrary arrests
Tehran, April 27, 2010
- On Tuesday since morning in Satarkhan St. a great number of suppressive agents were mobilized to arrest any motorcycle rider.
They were all arrested and taken away in small lorries.

Sarsabz metro station closed
Tehran, April 28, 2010
- Sarsabz metro station was closed since 12 noon till 4 pm. This metro station in Resalat Highway was closed because protest gathering of workers have been reported in the station.

Increasing security climate

Khoramabad, April 28, 2010
- Security climate in Khoramabad Azad University has highly increased. Intellingent forces are seen throughout the campus and are patrolling the whole university.

Mashad, April 28, 2010
- During the recent week the entrance of Mashad’s Ferdosi Univerisyt is flooded with pictures of so-called sourced of religious laws such as mullah Allam Al Hoda and etc.

Controling the students
Tehran, April 28, 2010
- During the recent years students are being fully controlled at Amirkabir University. An intelligence mercenary called Sadeghi calls the students, threatens them and tells them to refer to university’s Pursuing Office (belonging to Intelligence Ministry opposite to the university’s entrance). When the students refer there they are taken inside with eyebands so that they could not identify Sadeghi.

To syndicate activists condemned
Tehran, April 28, 2010
- following a wave of arbitrary arrests and summoning to Intelligence Ministry’s Prusing Headquarter and Revolution Court, openeing fake cases and issuing inhuman decrees has started for workers who are active in Labor Syndicates.
Homayoun Jaberi a member of Bus Syndicate is condemned to one year imprisonment being lashed during his term and a 3years suspended term.
Mr. Jaberi was put on trial on March 2 but the decree was read to him at the wake of Labor Day amongst other workers to provoke climate of fear and terror.

Workers Fallen for Freedom
The Society in Support of Slain and Detained issued a statement in which it named some of the workers fallen for freedom during last months uprisings. In it statement the society has also asked people to be present on Labor Day at Behesht-e-Zahra Cemetary to commemorate these martyrs.

2-Bahman Jenabi 19, plumber and electrical equipment maintaner
3-Ahmad Nejati 22, killed by knife
4-Sajad Ghaed Rahmati, from Lorestan’s Dorood
5-Hossein Akhtar Zand, from Isfahan
6-Farzad Jashni 19, from Ilam
7-Abolfazl Abdollahi, power technician shot in the head
8-Saeed Abbasi 28, shot by RGC forces
9-Maysam Ebadi 17, working in a carpet shop in Sadeghieh Circle shot in the stomach
10-Abbas Disnud, bazaar laborer, 48, killed by baton strikes.

Laborer groups protested banning ceremonies on Labor Day
Tehran, April 28, 2010
- Issuing a resolution laborer groups protested banning of holding ceremonies in Labor Day by the clerical regime.
In this resolutions laborers’ opposition with the new subcidy policy as well as with appointing 300000 tomans as the minimum wage for workers is expressed (poverty line is 700000 tomans as said by regime and 1000000 tomans as announced by economic experts)
These groups also protested detention of more than 200 workers and workers’ activists in last year’s Labor Day ceremony from which Mr. Mansour Osanloo, Mr. Ibrahim Madadi and Mr. Ali Nejati , the leaders of laborers’ syndicates, are still in prison.

Protests in Qazvin
Industiral Unit of Qazvin’s Textile Factory, April 25, 2010- about 800 workers of this factory gathered in Protest to non-payment of their wages for more than 7 months in front of Idustry Ministry on Sunday April 25. These laborers have not received their bonus for New Year too.
It seems that the crisis of bankruptcy in the country’s industry which has started since a few years ago is more serious in textile industry.

Farnakh Factory, April 26 2010
- On Monday 540 workers of this factory all permanently hired workers gathered in protest in the factory’s yard since 8 am to 1pm. They demnaded their unpaid wages of 4 months and their bonuses for the New Year.
More than 1400 workers have been fired in groups from brother factories of Mahnakh, Farnakh and Sarnakh. All production saloons of these factory are closed exept the Taknakh Saloon which enjoyes moder machines.
On Monday the manager told the workers that all the factory’s machinery’s are sold, the factory will be closed and all the worker will be fired.

Mahnakh and Sarnakh Factories,  April 24 2010
-  150 workers of these two factories went to Tehran with three buses to gather in protest in front of Industry Enterprise because they received no answer from the related officials in Qazvin. But in Tehran too they were left with no answer.

Alborz Chinaware Factory,  April 27, 2010
-  on Tuesday about 170 workers of this factory gathered in protest in factory’s yard from 6 am till 3 pm and stopped the production lines. These workers have not received wages for about 10 months.
These workers do this everyday to protest against the fact that the factory is going to be closed and all workers are going to be ousted.
At the wake of New Year on March about 120 contract workers of this company were ousted. Company’s maganer under the protect of regime’s organs and its anti laborers laws ousted them all.
On April 28 too they gathered in protest to handing this company over to private section in front of regime’s Ministry of Industry and Mines

Fars Meat Company, April 75 2010
- On Tuesday a group of workers fired from this company gathered in protest again in front of Labor Bureau and Insurance Bureau of the township. They held a sit-in an demanded that their job’s situation be looked into and demanded at least retirement.

Khavardasht Weaving Company, April 27 2010
- On Tuesday the hardworking laborers of tis company preventend the entrance of management’s advising board. They are paid more than 1000000 tomans thus filling the place of a great many young workers who are even in need of one thrid of this amount. The workers and their council demanded that this wrong policy be corrected but the management paid no attention to their will.
The workers of this company protest daily because they have not received their wages for three months.

- More than 50 laborers of this company gathered in protest in front of Governor Office protesting to their unpaid wages. They had gathered in protest on April 27 too.

Students express their solidarity with hunger strike
Tehran, April 285 2010
- Students of some of the univercities of the country will go on strike on Labor Day. In this symbolic hunger strike the students want to express their solidarity with the workers and teachers (May 2 is Teachers Day in Iran) who are in hard living condition.

- One of workers of Eram Weaving Company in Qazvin producer of thread, carpet and chair covers has ousted contract workers under 5 years of history of work. No answer has been given to their protests.

Two activist on trial
Kermanshah, April 28, 2010
- Ali Sadeghi and Mohammad Tavakoli two member ofTeachers Centeral Council of Kermanshah Province  are going to be tried in the so-called Revolutionary court. They are charged with arousing disorder which led to closure of 29 schools as well as holding illegal gathering from 2003 to 2007. They are also condemned to paying fine of two million rials one million of which is instead of the lashes they were to receive.

Summoning to court
Tehran, April 28, 2010
- At the wake of Labor Day Jafar Azimzadeh the head of board of directors of Workers Free Union is summoned to court on June 8. He will be tried because he had participated on last years Labor Day gatherings and was arrested then.


Firing of workers increases at the wake of Labor Day
Tehran, April 8, 2010
- Following the anti laborers laws of the clerical regime Kayvan Company ousted 50 of its workers with 10 years history of work at the company. Mino Factory to fired 50 of its workers with 5 years history of work on the excuse of work foce revision policy.
Omtsn Technical and Engineering Power Company fired 150 of its employees with 10 to 15 years of history of work.
Betalnabi Enterprise a charity organization ousted 20 of his workers saying that it cannot provide their wages.

Jailed labor leader gets charged with communicating with dissidents in prison
April 28, 2010
- According to reports, on the eve of International Labor Day, a new case was filed against the head of the Tehran Bus Company Union, Mansour Osalu.
On April 25, this political prisoner was taken to the 6th branch of the Revolutionary Court in Karaj with shackles and a new case was filed against him. His complainants were Ali Haj Kazem and Ali Mohammadi, the head and assistant head of Gohardasht Prison in Karaj (where this labor leader is detained). Osalu was charged with being in contact with government dissidents in prison.

The oldest Aluminum factory in Iran is broke

April 27, 2010

An informed source conceded that Iran Aluminum Company is broke and said: “the capital of this company is 250 billion tomans but the company ows banks, legal entities and individuals about 447 billion tomans.
Mehr Iranian Enterprise is one of the greatest share holders of this company that entitles 45% of the shares.
Because the company owes two times of its capital it is counted as bankrupt.
This company has the capacity of producing 183000 tons of aluminum bar per year and for the time being has 3600 work force.

A group of technicians of Iran Khodro’s representatives and maintenance units gathered in protest to their unappropriate working conditions.
In these units a great number of technicians are working most of them work as technicians of car’s power system, mechanics, car painters and…
These technicians are subjects of protest of the customers because the suitale spare parts are not provided for them.
This is the result of bulk import of spare parts from China which have poor quality.
The customers always have to refer back to the maintanace units a short while after their vehicles are fixed.
The technicians protest the management and the experts of the units in that accord in addition to the level of their livlihood as workers and employees of these units.

 This statement is singed by organizations such as Tehran and Suburbs Bus Driving Syndicate, Haft Tapeh Cane Sugar Workers Syndicate, Iran Workers Free Union, Women Council and etc.
The statement reads in part: “…existence of independent work and education organizations in work environments is one of the most crucial tools for the improvement of work condition and drop in work accidents which can lead to fundamental changes in the current condition of Iran’s working class. 
Along with all workers of the world we honor April 28 the global day of Solidarity with injured workers and the day of Protest against Lack of Security in Work Environments… we demand implementation of the highest security standards in work environments. We count the current regime responsible for the victims of such accidents…

Common resolution of global Labor Day
April 28, 2010

 The resolution reads in part: “… currently the workers who were the founders of last year’s ceremony of May Day are either condemned to imprisonment or are at the verge of receiving heavy judiciary decrees. Tens of workers activists and their leaders are in jails charged with establishing laborers organizations and defending their human rights.
Iran’s system of investment after three decades of anti monarchy revolution has dropped workers wages to one fourth of poverty line. With not paying their wages on time or firing them a great population of workers is becoming jobless and are pushed to sign ‘white or temporary contracts’. This makes a hellish condition of life for millions of workers and their families…”.
Some of the demands announced in this resolution are:
-We demand eradication of ‘white and temporary contracts’, providing job security for workers, compliments with the   highest standards of hygiene and security in jobs and eradication of all governmental organs from work atmospheres.
-We demand nullifying of execution as a penalty and immediate and unconditional freedom of Ibrahim Madadi, Mansour Osanloo, and Ali Nejadi and all workers activists and activists of other social and protesting movements. We also demand a stop in judiciary pursuing against them.
-While condemning any kind of suppression against workers and public protests, we count protest against violation of rights and express of belief as inalienable right of the workers and all public.
-We demand nullification of all discriminating laws regarding women. We demand total and unconditional equality of rights between men and women in all aspects of life social, economical, political, cultural and family matters…
-Children Work must be eradicated and all children aside of their parents’ economical and social status, their gender, religion and race must enjoy education, welfare and hygiene.
-We express our support of all freedom loving social movements and strongly condemn arrests, trials and imprisonment of activists of these movements…”.

Statement in condemnation of imprisoning a worker activist
April 25, 2010

Women Council issued a statement in condemnation of imprisonment of Borhan Saeedi a laborer activist and a member of Women Council. In this statement the council has pointed to anti human laws implemented by this anti laborer regime and has demanded immediate and unconditional freedom of Mr. Saeedi and nullification of all charges against him.

Iran Khodro workers support the common resolution of Global Labor Day
