Sign of a treacherous oil agreements between Iran and China

Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr said: at the moment the development plan of this common field with Iraq has been started and we want to increase the amount of oil production from this field. He emphasized that the policy of oil ministry in developing Azadegan field is to produce oil in maximum. He said there won’t be any stop and the early development of this field in the process.
According to reports, Iran is the first country in Opek who have accepted to give its oil sources to another country by a share of less than 50 percent. Iran has asked China to take 1 million barrels a day instead of 800 barrels. China has accepted this offer. But they have force Iran in return to buy Chinese goods with 45 % of profit rather than 20% of its profit. The change of this paragraph in the agreement was done on 2006 and this agreement will finish in 2026. The period of this agreement was extended from 20 to 35 years. Oil fields of “new Azadegan”, “Ilam” and “South Rostam” were also added to Chinese.  Chinese accepted to explore and extract oil in the fields of Abozar, Dara and South Dorod. But their provision for next 35 years was to have 55% of its share and the share of Iran stays in 45%.  Also Iran should pay 60% of the digging and extracting expenses for 45% income inception. But Chinese with 55% of income only pay 40% of expenses. Iran is allowed only to sell 30% of the extracted oil and the 70% will be in Chin’s monopoly to decide who to sell. The worth of these storages is estimated between 350000 to 500000 Million Dollars.

Protests against disbanding of Medical Science University
Nov. 5, 2010
Ali Abbaspour, the head of the Educational and Research Committee of the Iranian parliament said regarding the disbanding of the Iran Medical Science University, “In the system of the Islamic Republic, we had never witnessed the disbanding of a university. The Iran Medical Science University is a good university in our country which is considered among the top ten medical science universities in Iran and according to figures it has more than 800 Science Committee members and close to 10,000 personnel. This university also has various research centers. Currently in various areas in the country, there are regions where the private sector is willing to pay any price for so that it could establish private medical science universities according to the standards of the Ministry of Health and Hygiene, but there are met with the opposition of the Health and Hygiene Ministry… The issue is that we chanted that all forces should leave Tehran and then we obligated 40 percent of Tehran’s personnel to leave, but in the end of August, this was not carried out and we were unable to do this. Now the Humans Office of the President wants to carry this out in any way possible”.

Disbanding of medical university new issue for infighting in Islamic Republic
Nov. 6, 2010
The Tehran Emrouz state run daily wrote in its editorial titled ‘This Time the Iran Medical Science University’: “Imagine that you are a professor, student or employee of the Medical Science University and you wake up in the morning and go to work. You find out on the way there from the press that your university and place of work has been disbanded! And that the Iran Medical Science University exists no more in the country’s educational and health system. The words above are not fictional but are actually reality”.
“It would be better that the parliament, as an institution that is ‘above all affairs’ be informed of this issue from before so that at least the parliamentary Educational and Research Commission could support this plan. It is important to note that these kinds of decisions have been taken before in the government such as the disbanding of the Management and Planning Organization and the Currency and Credit Council for the Transfer of Employees from Tehran and the appointment of special presidential representatives in various areas of the world which had many consequences in those times and the bureaucratic system has still not been briefed on this issue.

Death row political prisoner describes inhumane torture in letter from prison
Nov. 5, 2010
Death row political prisoner Hossein Khezri requested that his complaint against the intelligence agency, Revolutionary Guards Corps and the Iranian judicial system be followed up in a letter to the public and human rights organizations.
He said in his letter that he was severely tortured and forced to make confessions while detained in the Sepah solitary cells in a secret detention center which is not under the supervision of the Prison Organization.
This letter reads in part:
“I was sentenced to death on charges of acting against national security by the first branch of the Orumieh Revolutionary Court. This sentence was upheld by the 10th branch of the Western Azarbaijan Court of Review and by the 31st branch of the Revolutionary Court…
I was arrested on July 31, 2008 in Kermanshah by forces of the Nabi Akram Revolutionary Guards Corps Forces and was in their hands for 49 days. I was subjected to physical and mental torture while being interrogated. Some of the physical tortures were:
1- Being beaten for hours every day
2- Being subjected to mental and physical pressure while under interrogation
3- I was threatened by my interrogators that if I did not accept what they said, they could accuse my brother and my sister’s husband of illegal activities against the government
4- I was kicked in my reproductive organs which led to bleeding and swelling in that area of my body for 14 days
5- I had an 8 centimeter gash in my right leg as a result of a hard kick in my leg by an interrogator which is still visible
6- I was beaten all over my body with batons
All of these were carried out while I was detained in the RGC detention center in Kermanshah for 49 days …
After I was transferred to Orumieh Prison on February 14, 2009 I was taken to court for the first and last time on May 11, 2009 in the first branch of the Orumieh Revolutionary Court. A representative from the Orumieh Intelligence Agency and the prosecutor were present in this session and I was threatened by intelligence agents before court that I was not to talk about the tortures or the interrogations. Of course I was tortured into silence! In the end, without being given enough time to defend myself, the session was closed in 10 minutes which led me to question how me and my lawyer were supposed to put up a case against the accusations with that particular atmosphere in court in 10 minutes.
