 The Downfall

Another cleric from Montazeri’s supporters was dispossessed of his religious practice
Tehran, April 24, 2010
Mr. Mir Ahmadi was given the decree for his dispossession of religious practice on Thursday April 22. Mr. Mir Ahmadi a cleric supporter of Ayatollah Montazeri was also exiled to out of Qom for 10 years.
Mir Ahmadia was a professor in Qom Province who was arrested just a few days after the ceremony for commemoration of deceased Mr. Montazer on his 40th day of passing away. He was then freed but was faced with the decree on Thursday.
Formerly another cleric supporter of Mr. Montazeri, Mr. Ahmadpoor was dispossessed of his religious practice.

Regime is losing its forces

Safar Harandi the former Minister of Culture in Ahmadinejad’s cabinet which is now the adviser of the commander of RGC, to give an excuse as for why regime is losing its forces said: “it is possible to become weak in defending what is right for anybody but if one receives God’s warning in that stage he would probably return back to the right course”.
Kayhan state-run daily pointed to the fact that Khamenei was discredited amongst regime’s mercenaries as “not accompanying the Leadership” and said: “one of the main reasons that the forces have turned their back during 30 years of blessed reign of Islamic state is that they had diverged from the real path of the state and hadn’t accompanied the Leader”. 

Bahonar admitted to the schism amongst regime’s bands

Reminding the nightmare of Uprising for overthrowing the clerical dictatorship, Bahonar deputy of regime’s parliament said: “this sedition was a full force war against the System”.
In his interview with ILNA state-run news agency he said: “some started last year’s sedition because either they were naïve or they didn’t know people well. May be they thought that they had to avenge the System. This led to some damages and some benefits. It was actually a full force war in political and social aspects and a full force attack against the main pillar of the System”.
Bahonar amitted to the schism amongst the bands supporting Khamenei and said: “we don’t have to support Ahmadinejad”.


Resistance

People clash with suppressive forces in Estehbanat, Isfahan
Estehbanat, April 23, 2010
ISC: On Wednesday April 21 people clashed in Estehbanat with suppressive forces and 3 were killed.
A man called Tavasoli was hanged in public in Estehbanat. After the hanging was over his family asked for his body but the suppressive force present denied them this right.
So a clash started and during the clash the uncle and brother’s son of the deceased were killed. The family resisted and shot back and killed the son of Estehbanat’s commander of Intelligence (or RGC).
Following that unrest ruled over the town.
Agents of SSF and Especial Gurads Foces were stationed throughout the town after the event.

How regime’s fears the slightest protest gathering

ISC reported that since 10 am on Friday morning April 23 regime is building a metallic wall in front of Evin by Yadegar Highway so that people who pass over the highway bridge would not be able to see the gatherings in front of Evin Prison.

Marivan in Protest
Marivan, April 23, 2010
On April 22 and 23 a group of Marivan’s shopkeepers and residents gathered in protest to the closure of bazaar of the city in front of Governor Office. During recent days regime suppressive forces have closed the bordering bazaar of Mrivan imposing loss on the merchants of the region. The officials do not give any straight answer to the protestors.

A Kurd political prisoner condemned to death
Mahabad, April 23, 2010
Habibollah Golparipoor a Kurd political prisoner from Sanandaj is condemned to death by regime’s kangaroo court in Mahabad on charge of Moharabeh by propagating activities.
Mr. Golparipoor has been detained in Sanandaj and Mahabad’s detention centers for long and is in Mahabad prison at the present time.

Another murder by regime’s suppressive forces
Kermanshah, April 23, 2010
According to an ISC report from Kermanshah on Tuesday April 20 forces of Islamic Republic shot a tradesman Mokhtar Ramezani from Nagreh Village on the border region of Salas Babakhani. Mr. Ramezani was transferred to Javanrood’s hospital and he is in critical condition.

Kurd political activist sentenced to death
April 22, 2010
A Kurd citizen from Sanandaj by the name of Habibollah Golparipour was sentenced to death by the Mahabad Revolutionary Court.
This man who has been jailed for more than 6 months was charged with moharebeh for propagandist activities in a dissident party and was sentenced to death based on article 186 and 190 of the Islamic Penal Code by the Revolutionary Court in Mahabad.

Protester sentenced to 18 months of prison

Mehrdad Aslani, a protester in the post election events was sentenced to 18 months of prison for participating in peaceful protests.

Three Ashura protesters sentenced to prison
April 22, 2010
Arash Qasemi was sentenced to two years of prison in a court of review. According to this report, Abolfazl Qasemi was also sentenced to three years of prison by the 28th branch of the Revolutionary Court.
Omid Yavari who was arrested along with Arash and Abolfazl on Ashura (December 27, 2010) was sentenced to 5 years of prison by Moqiseh, the judge in the 28th branch of the Revolutionary Court.
Abolfazl Qasemi has a master's degree in law from Alameh University in Tehran.

Female political prisoner sentenced to 5 years of prison on bogus charges

The 54th branch of the Tehran Court of Review upheld the 5 year prison sentence of Monireh Rabiei. Rabiei was sentenced to five years of prison to be served in exile in the Berazjan Prison on charges of moharebeh (enmity with God).
Her aunt and uncle live in Camp Ashraf in Iraq (home to the PMOI). According to those close to her Monireh has only had family relations with her relatives in Ashraf and even cut off her family relations a long time before she was summoned.
"The investigator of the case said that she was subject to a remission, but Judge Pir Abassi sentenced her to five years of prison without taking heed of the opinion of the investigator or her defense and lawyer's statements", the source close to the family said. 

Female political prisoner sentenced to 3 years prison for links to PMOI

The court of review sentenced Ozra Saadat Qazi Mirsaeid, to three years of prison. This political prisoner was arrested on June 20, 2009 during the peaceful protests in Iran in Enqelab Square and was sentenced to three years of prison by the 15th branch of the Revolutionary Court.
According to her family, she is currently in the women's cellblock in Evin Prison. She was under severe physical and psychological torture for a few months in cellblock 2A.
Her family says that she has not had any political activities and was sentenced to 'moharebeh (enmity with God) and being corrupt on earth by way of effective activities in line with the goals of the terrorist Monafeqin (PMOI) organization and cooperation with this organization'.
Ozra strongly denied these allegations and has said that she confessed to these lies under severe torture.

Student activist sentenced to one year of prison
April 22, 2010
Student activist Milad Fadayi was sentenced to one year of prison by the 28th branch of the Revolutionary Court headed by Moqiseh.
He has been charged with 'spreading propaganda against the government'.
This is while 4 months has passed from his temporary detention and the prosecutor has refused to turn his detention order to a bail order.

US hikers on hunger strike in Evin Prison
Tehran, April 24, 2010
Human rights activists in Iran reported quoting Switzerland’s ambassador in Iran as: “three American hikers intent to go on a hunger strike in prison”.
This report says that Sara Shewerd is suffering from depression and Shin Bower is suffering from stomach problems.
It is about 9 months that these three hikers are imprisoned in Iran charged with espionage. They passed Islamic Republic’s border by mistake when they were hiking in border region between Iran and Iraq.

Regime’s military maneuver in Persian Gulf worries region’s countries

The clerical regime has started an extensive maneuver in the waters of Persian Gulf saying that it intends to upgrade its defensive capabilities. But this military maneuver in Hormoz Strait is considered a threat by countries of the region especially when US has announced that all options in regard with Islamic Republic are on the table.

Italy ambassador summoned for the fifth time

On Wednesday April 21 ambassador of Italy was summoned for the fifth time and this time by the regime’s reactionary parliament.
Alaedin Broojerdi the head of regime’s Security Commission in parliament said: “Italy’s ambassador was invited to the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the parliament for an explanation. This is in regard with the latest status of Hamid Massouinejad correspondent of Seda & Sima (regime’s TV & Radio)”.
IRNA state run news agency said: “directors of the governmental media wrote a letter to Italy’s prime minister and demanded the freedom of Hamid Massouminejad. They wrote: with this act Italy’s judiciary apparatus is against the freedom of information, the freedom of media and press and the freedom of speech”.
Regime’s elements talk of freedom of speech being in danger while a high rank intelligence agent and smuggler of guns is arrested and hundreds are imprisoned by this regime because of conveying news or having bloggers or internet sites.
