Religious fascism ruling Iran hanged
Political prisoner Ali Saremi

Supporter of PMOI who had spent more than 23 years of his life in prison

Iran refuses to hand over body of executed political prisoner to his family
According to reports, several family members of executed political prisoner and PMOI supporter Ali Saremi went to Kahrizak Detention Center to get custody of Ali Saremi’s body. They were told by Evin Prison agents to go to Kahrizak for the body.
They were initially banned from entering Kahrizak and finally after persisting, security forces told them to leave and bring a letter from Evin Prison.
According to other reports, after widespread reports in the international media about the execution of this 63 year old political prisoner, the Iranian regime is looking to retaliate against his family and therefore arrested a number of his family members on the day he was hanged. They were finally forced to release them last night after harassing and threatening them. Security forces also raided their family shop today and arrested Ali Saremi’s nephew identified as Mohammad.

Biography of Ali Saremi
Brave supporter of PMOI resisted to the end
Dec. 29, 2010
Ali Saremi, political prisoner and a supporter of PMOI who was executed by the clerical dictatorship on Tuesday dawn Dec. 28, 2010 was born in 1948 in Broojerd. He started teaching at high schools after he graduated from university well knowing five foreign languages.
He spent about 24 years of his live at prisons on the whole suffering different kinds of pressure and torture.
He was incarnated for two years during Shah’s era and was freed by the revolution of 1979. He joined Teachers Movement supporters of PMOI but was arrested after June 20, 1981.
He was imprisoned five times during the rule of religious fascism in decades of 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s and was held in prisons of Gohardasht, Gezelhesar and Evin but each time he was more decisive to continue his struggle after he was freed.
He was last arrested end of summer of 2007 because he attended a ceremony for commemoration of the massacre of political prisoner, 30000 of them, in summer of 1988 and was in prison until the dawn of his execution.
Mr. Saremi has four children and has traveled to Ashraf City (the place of residence of PMOI members in Iraq) in years of 2003, 2004 and 2005.
During these years he was summoned to the reactionary courts of the regime four times but he didn’t accept the charges so they couldn’t allege him with anything in particular.
He was arrested in February 2005 only because he had laid flower on the grave of Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh on behalf of the leadership of the resistance. He was tried on late Fall of 2006 because of that and was condemned to 6 years imprisonment along with being exiled for a year to Minab’s prison.
In 1987 he sent his only son Akbar to Ashraf to join NLA.
During the clash that occurred between henchmen of Evin and his family and the families of other political prisoner on Tuesday for receiving his body Poya, Mahin and Mohtaram Saremi his daughter, wife and sister; Akram Sanjari mother of political prisoner Misagh Yazdan Panah and Hadi and Mahbobeh Mansouri the son and sister of political prisoner Mohammad Ali Mansouri were arrested and taken into Evin Prison.
To cover its crime the clerical regime announced that ‘a member of Mohafeghin grouplet’ was executed on charge of ‘Moharebe’ along with Ali Akbar Siadat the ‘element of Zionist regime’s spying service’.
Regime’s media published the decree of execution of Mr. Saremi as:
“The extinct (Ali Saremi) travelled in 2002 to Monafeghin’s camp called Ashraf and was trained and returned back to the country. Then along with some freed prisoners of this grouplet he started propagating for them. Monafeghin paid him to hold gatherings for the group and publish and distribute a publication called ‘Aryaee Land’. He propagated for Monafeghin publicy at his work and distributed the pictures of its leaders. He attracted some and sent them to Monafeghin’s camp in Iraq. He organized sessions and sent their clips to be broadcasted from Monafeghin’s TV. He actively provided and distributed advertising brochures for Monafeghin and the poster of their leaders to be posted in general places. He was in contact with Monafeghin’s contact centers by the order of the grouplet...”.
Then the media continued that he was condemned to death by article 47 of the law of Islamic Punishment and articles 186, 190 and 191.

Cry of ‘ Ya Hussein’ by Ali Saremi echoed at the time of his execution

Dec. 29, 2010
By the time of Azan (call for praying time) two ambulances came. On one of them it was written ‘inspection’ and on the other nothing was written. It didn’t take even half an hour.
After a while three loud cries of ‘Ya Hussein’ echoed in the air shivering our bodies. Then when the SSF left one by one we understood that everything was over.
Zainab Saremi who was present in front of Evin at the time of his father’s execution said that the officials didn’t inform them of the time of the execution and they found it out from his father’s cell-mates. Zainab said that even his lawyer was not informed of the time: “last night at dusk my father’s cell-mates called us at home and told us that Ali Saremi is suspiciously ‘abducted’ and his cell-mate have noticed his absence. They told us you should really be afraid”.
She added: “even when we gathered outside Evin along with our friends and relatives and asked about him they told us ‘there is nothing going on here, everybody is sleep, go away’. My mother was walking there from early night till morning”.
At the end she said: “we ask all human rights organizations not to permit more families become mournful. I hope that they don’t let this happen to other families”.

At the end a letter from Ali Saremi was mentioned.

For you, our lives have no value, long live Iran – Ali Saremi

In answer to the announcement of his death sentence by the Tehran Prosecutor Jafari Dolat Abadi in December 2009, political prisoner Ali Saremi bravely gave the following message from prison:
“In the name of God- Whenever the rights of a people are plundered, a resistance is created and tyrants are forced to carry out wicked acts and suppress the people.
Dear compatriots, Tehran Prosecutor Dolat Abadi said in an interview which was published in the Kayhan (hardline daily) on May 16, 2010 that I was charged with having links to the PMOI and that I was arrested in September 2009 after the elections.
This is while I was arrested on September 4, 2007 which means two years before the elections and after I went to Ashraf City to see my son in 2005. I was sentenced to one year of prison for that visit which lasted a few days.
My arrest in 2007 was because I participated in a ceremony in Khavaran Cemetery which is the gravesite of those executed in 1988. However, is going to the cemetery or supporting an organization or visiting ones son, really enmity with God and punishable by death?
In line with this, the Tehran Prosecutor’s statements are baseless and it does not even require an explanation. It is so baseless that they are not even willing to announce this sentence to my lawyer. They have sent and confirmed the sentence to an appeals court without it having my signature or that of my lawyer. Despite this, I cry out and say that even if they hang me, they do not scare my compatriots or me because I have scared them so much that they are forced to execute me.
The only reason behind these kinds of sentences is their fear of their unsteady status and not to carry out justice. Now, as a father whose children Farzad, Ali, Farhad, Shirin and Mehdi (executed political prisoners) were recently taken to the gallows and thousands of other children who were slain before this, what is expected of me except to cry out as a freedom loving Iranian that if in my lifetime and even in the 23 years of my detention in prison I was not able to carry out my duty for God, my people and country, maybe my execution will be effective in rousing my people.
I cry out again and address my people and country when I say that ‘for you, our lives have no value, long live Iran’ – Political prisoner Ali Saremi

Political prisoners send message from prison on the execution of political prisoner Ali Saremi

A group of political prisoners in cellblock 2 in Gohardasht (Rajayi Shahr) Prison in Karaj sent a message from prison to commemorate the memory of executed courageous political prisoner Ali Saremi who was hung today in Evin Prison.
This message reads in part: “We give our condolences to all freedom lovers, those who are fighting for freedom and especially to the family of Ali Saremi for the martyrdom of this courageous Mojahed. Ali Saremi was hanged on Tuesday December 28 by the executioner while neither he nor us believed that he would actually be executed. After being summoned by the Intelligence Unit he was in high spirits and said goodbye to us. We were waiting for his return and were counting the hours and minutes when he would come back. We never believed that our friend was transferred to Evin Prison for the implementation of his death sentence. Prison officials cut off all our communications with the outside world in fear that we would make calls. All the freedom loving people of Iran should know that Saremi was forced to sleep in the hallways of the cellblock 2 due to shortage of space before he was taken for execution. The cruel rulers of Iran should know that with suppression and killings, the struggles of our people for freedom and social justice will not cease and the execution of Ali Saremi will have no other consequence than more notoriety for the regime”.

Iran prevents phone calls by political prisoners after execution of Ali Saremi

According to reports, after Ali Saremi was transferred to Evin Prison for his execution, all scheduled phone calls of political prisoners were cancelled and they were not allowed to use the phone.

Ali Saremi’s letter from prison after his death sentence and that of his friends were issued

“I read once again in the newspaper that the prosecutor said that the death sentence for six supporters of the PMOI has been upheld and they are waiting for its implementation. One has to ask the prosecutor if they have done anything for the people of Iran except bring about death, poverty, terror and suppression in the 31 years of their reign? If one looks at the outcome of these 31 years, the execution of six people is neither new nor comes as a surprise! Rather, it is the only thing that you are able to do.
Have you ugly reactionaries done anything for the people except bring about death? You should be aware that the day that the people take their vengeance is not far… Do not think that the people will forget the suppression, chains, Kahrizak (Detention Center) and the constant killings by plainclothes agents… You rule with deception and lies, people have no food to eat, children are left without guardians, and addiction is prevalent. How do you still govern and talk and make promises? Do you have no shame? Shame on you!
Your brother Ali, Please send my regards to everyone, Goodbye”.

Message to mark International Day against Execution

“We are for abolishing the death sentence and the downfall of governments who follow violence and we support a government that recognizes humanity and human rights. Ali Saremi - October 2010”

Message to mark national Student Day
“…The part played by students and the university in breaking the atmosphere of despair and hopelessness after 1978 is still alive and fresh in the memory of the people of Iran and students and is commemorated every year. Now, students and the university are tasked with playing this part again… On the anniversary of this day, I stand with students and the university and hope that democracy, freedom and justice becomes victorious.

Committee of Free Teachers in Iran condemns execution of political prisoner Mr. Ali Saremi

We were informed that political prisoner Mr. Ali Saremi who was a 63 year old teacher in Tehran’s Nazi Abad region and was loved by his students was executed on Tuesday, December 28 by the government ruling Iran. He was also a political prisoner under the rule of the Shah and spent 23 years of his life in prison for freedom of expression and freedom of thought.
Compatriots,
The Iranian government has committed this crime at a time of widespread public discontent because of the implementation of the plan to cut subsidies and a price raise on all goods including bread and fuel which is the minimum needs of all the sectors of the Iranian society.
The dictator government thinks it can prevent this discontent and social protests by executing the children of the Iranian people. However, historical experience has shown that such measures will only fuel public discontent.
The Committee for Free Teachers supports political prisoners and condemns the execution of political prisoner and teacher, Mr. Ali Saremi and requests from all teachers, the freedom loving people of Iran, and international human rights organizations to condemn his execution and prevent the execution of other jailed political prisoners including jailed teachers.

Ali Saremi had no fear from the clerical dictatorship

Dec. 28, 2010 – Tehran
While the clerical dictatorship intended to provoke an atmosphere of fear and horror to prevent from any uprising, Mr. Saremi never gave up. He always issued messages from inside the prison calling on people to defend their rights and freedom.
In his message about the execution of Habibollah Latifi, a Kurd student and a political activist who was to be executed a few days ago Mr. Saremi wrote: “Despotism always kills to hush people and prevent great protests. The regime’s officials who are incapable of managing the country which is the source of all the problems kill. Until the despotism exists, the killing continues and people’s escalating problems will last for ever.
While condemning the execution decree of Habibollah Latifi we warn the regime that uprisings of the mass will not end with these killings”.

Religious fascism ruling Iran hanged Political prisoner Ali Saremi this morning

Supporter of PMOI who had spent more than 23 years of his life in prison

Tuesday - Dec. 28, 2010 – Tehran
IRNA state-run news agency announced this morning:
“This dawn Ali Saremi a member of Monafeghin Terrorist grouplet was hanged this morning at Evin Prison on charge of ‘Moharebeh’ (staging war against God)”.
The political prisoner Ali Saremi who was hanged this morning by the henchmen of Velayat-e-Faghieh has spent about 23 years of his life in prisons and torture chambers of Shah and Clerical dictatorship. He was arrested because he had visited his son in Ashraf City (the place of resident of PMOI members in Iraq) and had attended the commemoration ceremony held at Khavaran for those who fall for freedom in the massacre of political prisoners in 1988, 30000 of them. He was then condemned to death.
Regime had announced that he was arrested because he had participated in Ashura Uprising of 2009 and thus was condemned to execution but he was arrested in 2007 in Khavaran and was in prison since.
The execution of Ali Saremi is a pathetic reaction of Khamenei to the heavy blows that he constantly receives from Iran’s resistance.
Keeping the PMOI in terror list of US due to US appeasement policy towards the clerical dictatorship while this allegation has been ruled our in high courts of Europe and a high court in District of Columbia has ruled that this listing has not gone under its due procedure and the Secretary of State must revise it, gives open hand to the religious fascism in Iran to execute PMOI members and supporters on the excuse of terrorism and ‘Moharebeh’.

We call on all international bodies to put an end to the human right violations in Iran and to send clerical regime’s record of violation of human rights to UN Security Council for taking decisive action against these crimes.

Transferring death row political prisoner to an unknown location
Monday Dec. 27, 2010 – 15:53
Reports obtained by Activists of Human Rights and Democracy in Iran say that the political prisoner Ali Saremi, 62 years old and condemned to execution has been transferred from ward two of Gohardasht Prison to an unknown location outside the prison.

On Monday Dec. 27 around 13:30 pm political prisoner Ali Saremi under execution has suddenly and in an unusual manner been transferred from ward two to an unknown location. His cellmates have constantly tried to get information about his whereabouts from prison’s officials but they were not successful so far and were faced with contradictory sayings.
Some officials have told them that he has been transferred to Evin Prison but his cellmates are suspicious of this saying because of the manner he was transferred and the contradictory words. They think that it is possible that he has been transferred to be executed; executions are usually conducted on Tuesdays.
In fear of international reactions and to make people of Iran and the world face a done did the clerical regime uses sudden executions of political prisoners such as the execution of 5 political prisoners on Sep. 10 of this year.

In addition to Mr. Ali Saremi a number of political prisoners at ward 350 of Evin Prison are awaiting execution. The names of some of them are: Jafar Kazemi, Javad Lari, Abdoreza Ghanbari, Haj Aghaie and Ahmad Daneshpoor Moghadam.

Political prisoner Ali Saremi was arrested in 2007 after he attended the ceremony for commemoration of the 19th year of massacre of political prisoners in 1988 and was condemned to death by Judge Salavati. He is one of the oldest political prisoners in Iran who had spent more than 23 years in prison.

Activists of Human Rights and Democracy in Iran are strongly worried about this sudden and unusual transferring. There is a serious danger that he will be executed.

We ask the General Secretary of UN, High Commissioner of Human Rights and other international organs to conduct an urgent action for saving the lives of death row political prisoners in Iran.

Aftermaths of scraping subsidy of goods
in different cities of Iran

Dec. 26, 2010

Tehran- Price of liquid gas capsules have raised drastically during the last 3 days from 2000 or 2500 tomans to 5000 tomans. All the drivers and other consumers are objecting the fact.

Booshehr- by this rumor that the government is withdrawing the deposited money for subsidies from the accounts, and as villagers are rushing to the banks, banks’ operating systems are actually disrupted.
The banks have no money to give to the customers. There is a security atmosphere ruling over the city and by each bank several SSF, an officer and cars belonging to operation units of SSF are patrolling.

Kerman- drivers of heavy vehicles are on strike in Kerman thus no fruit has been transferred to Kerman’s Vegetable and Fruit Baazar.

Tehran- Eyewitnesses say that most of the people who have withdrawn the subsidy money from their accounts have expended it in two days. For example a bakery in a village at east of Tehran is closed after two days announcing that it will not reopen unless the government provides the subsidy.

Tehran- A student from Tehran said that it is like a chaos every where. Everybody is talking about this plan. Since its execution any SMS containing the word ‘subsidy’ is not being sent.

Tehran- A student from Fadak neighborhood said that people are buying extra bread and storing it: “Situation is getting worse. Yesterday someone from the house opposite to ours came out and started shouting and complaining about the cost of electricity. Prices have risen so high and protests are taking place. Aftermaths of scraping subsidies
Dec. 20, 2010- Tehran
In his interview at Saturday night Dec. 18 Ahmadinejad talked about mild and bearable ascending slope of price changes and tried to minimize the aftermaths of this anti-people plan.
But a look at price changes show that opposite to what Ahmadinejad has claimed prices have risen several percents.
Aside the price of rationed gasoline that has multiplied four times the mild slope of Ahmadinejad shows itself in price of gas oil more than any other good!
The price of rationed gas oil has risen from 16 Tomans per liter to 150 Tomans and free gas oil now costs 350 Tomans per liter. This means that the price of even rationed gas oil has multiplied 9 times.
Electricity used at homes has reached 22 Tomans per KWH, before the plan it was 7.5 Tomans, a three times rise.
The price of household gas has risen four times and the price of gas used by cars has risen 10 times.
Though it was said that the price of water would not rise at first stage of this plan but it has raised to 250 Tomans (per liter) for household usage and 400 Tomans (per liter) for industrial usage.
Most astonishing is the price of flour. Before the plan the price of flour that was provided for bakeries with subsidy was 7.5 Tomans (per kilogram) but now it is 280 to 300 Tomans (per kilogram) this means that the price has risen 40 times.
Having a look at the above mentioned prices one can see how the clerical regime is spreading more intensified poverty with this anti-people plan.

Price rise leads to tension in Iran
Dec. 19, 2010
The state run Mardom Salari daily wrote in an article named, ‘fuel prices rise fourfold, electricity sevenfold, home gas fivefold and water doubles after subsidy cuts’: “Finally the surgical knife cut the ailing body of Iran’s economy. Despite the fact that politicians tell the people to be patient and calm and also to be thriftier, in their speeches on the implementation of the Smart Subsidy Plan, yesterday was a strange day and on the streets, alleys, bread lines and homes, everyone was talking about new prices.
People were thinking about withdrawing the subsidies from their bank accounts and they were only talking about the new price of water, electricity, fuel gas and gasoline. People were not even talking about if the transferred subsidy would be enough for all the high prices or not. There was a strange atmosphere in the society. One can compare the state of the society to an ailing person who is under surgery and everyone is hoping that he/she would come out from under the surgery as a healthy person”.

Signs of inflation from subsidy cut
Dec. 19, 2010
The state-run Mardom Salari newspaper wrote in its editorial titled, “Economical Surgery and the Necessary Tactics”: The announcement of the implementation of the final stage of the Smart Subsidy Plan was not unaccepted. But what raised questions among people were how much prices were raised. The 900 percent price raise of the of diesel gas, 400 percent price raise of gas, 4,300 percent price raise of flour and etc. has led to questions on if the soft slope of prices in the five year implementation of this plan has been taken into consideration or not.
Naturally, the sudden price raise can have many negative effects on the country’s economy. Of course, the implementation of this plan in any country can lead to inflation… The sudden price raise which started from yesterday and has left its first effects on the 30 percent price raise of taxis will have people going to banks to withdraw their cash subsidies. In this way, they will get an answer for their financial needs and the most natural effect of this issue will be an increase in liquidity which will lead to an increase in inflation. An inflation that is apparently more severe than previously predicted… We only hope that the government has the courage to carry out this economical surgery and to carry out accurate tactics so that this economical surgery would have the least amount of inflation, least amount of bleeding and least amounts of dissatisfaction.

Security forces have iron grip over Tehran
Dec. 19, 2010
Sajedi Nia, the head of the Greater Tehran District’s State Security Forces said, “Since the implementation of the Smart Subsidy Plan, we have not had any specific problems in Tehran because the police have welcomed this plan with complete readiness. Therefore, we will have no problems in carrying out this plan”.
“In Tehran, the Economical Crime and Smuggled Goods Police are on full alert and have special operations”.

Ahmadinejad and Khamenei use the scraping of subsidies as a tool to use the country’s economy for more terrorism and warmongering abroad and for domestic suppression!
Dec.19, 2010- Tehran
On Saturday Dec. 18 Ahmadinejad announced that the anti-people law of omission of subsidies will be implemented from Sunday Dec. 19.
Regarding to this plan that would result only in more poverty for Iranians, the price of rationed gasoline will have a sudden rise, from 100 Tomans per liter to 400 Tomans. At the same time the amount of the ration will lessen 10% so that the consumers will be forced to buy free gasoline at a price of 700 Tomans per litter.
This sudden rise in prices also includes the price of drinking water, flour and breads the most important and sensitive necessities of live for people.
Ahmadinejad tried to make people believe that this plan is at interest of low income families but the hated regime of Velayat-e-Faghieh is plundering people and is seeking a very high income by multiplying the price of goods.
The sources within the regime have said that Ahmadinejad’s government’s income from this plan will reach 100 billion dollars per year.
Imposter Ahmadinejad called the small amount of money that the government is depositing into the account of the head of each family instead of the omission of the subsidies ‘the money of Imam Zaman’ (the last Imam of Shiite that will bring justice to world when he comes). He said: “we must be careful not to contaminate this money with other monies because then it will not have its effect”!
Technical evaluations say that this plan will raise the inflation rate several times and will drag millions under ‘poverty line’.
Last year regime’s parliament predicted that this omission will raise the inflation rate 60%.
Decision of omitting the subsidy of goods is directly related to regime’s critical condition especially after last year’s uprisings from which regime is still shaking.
This measure taken by the regime, Khamenei at the head of it is because his regime is not capable of any flexibility or of the slightest withdrawal in its plan for production of nuclear bomb which has led to broader global sanctions each day.

Iran MP tries to hide real reason behind PMOI listing
Dec. 20, 2010
The deals between Khatami’s government and the US for putting the PMOI on the terrorist list was not a secret and has been announced numerously by US officials and the American press.
But a regime official had never admitted to this issue. On Saturday, December 19, Mohammad Karami rad, a member of the Iranian regime’s Security Commission in the parliament said that putting the PMOI on the list was ‘done on a deal which was carried out in the reform government (Khatami’s government) and they (US) promised that in return for a suspension of the Islamic Republic’s nuclear activities they would place the Monafeqin (PMOI) on their terrorist list’.
Less than a day later, Kazem Jalali, the head of the Parliamentary Security Commission came to the scene and hastily denied this statement.
“These kinds of statements mean that the Islamic Republic placed this group on the terrorist list by making deals, even while the truth is that the Monafeqin (PMOI) is a terrorist organization”.

Dec. 19, 2010

“This shortcoming led to the necessity of dismissing Mottaki”.
“It was necessary for Motakki to carry out the policies of the president and government and to get results from them, but what needed to be done was not done”, Javanfekr said.

Regime’s fear from PMOI disclosure about omission of subsidies of goods
Dec. 19, 2010- Tehran
The clerical regime having the pillars of its rule build on censorship and lies is fearful from the disclosure of PMOI about the terrible situation of the economy and people’s leaving conditions especially when it fears the wrath of people after announcing the omission of subsidy of goods.
Regime’s News Network expressed regime’s fear on Saturday Dec. 18 just a few hours before Ahmadinejad announced the execution of the plan of subsidy, under the title of ‘Monafeghin’s mission in regard with the plan of subsidy’ and said: “at the eve of this huge economic change some members of this ‘grouplet’ are tasked to enter the country in disguise of tourism and go to poor regions and provide foreign media with photos and clips about poverty in different regions”.

Downfall

Deepening of regime’s schism and crises
Dec.17, 2010 – Tehran
The clerical regime tried to provoke an atmosphere of fear and horror in society during last weak at the days of Ashura and the days that it wants to implement the anti- people plan of omitting the subsidy of goods, by issuing verdicts of death penalty in some cities and blinding both eyes of a 29 years old inmate.
But all the suppression could not and will not ease the inner crises of the regime or even cover it.
A sign of these crises which showed up last week inside Ahmadinejad’s cabinet as the result of regime’s international scandals and defeats targeted Manochehr Motaki the highest political personality of regime in foreign policy. He was ousted in a coup de tat-like act by Ahmadinejad while he was on his visit to Africa and was then in Senegal.
In a gathering of Ahmadinejads band an agent of Foreign Ministry said: “delisting of PMOI is an issue that has been brought to discussion several times. Foreign Ministry is so weak that they are de-listed in England and EU. Their issue has become both serious and strange and it is not clear to where this course will lead”.
Of course all those who follow regime’s status know that regime is getting closer to its downfall each week and people of Iran are getting even closer to their victory.

But it seems by his second move, ousting Manoucher Motaki, he has gained his goal”.
The site added: ”in recent years Motaki had to get advice about the foreign policy issues from the high advisor of the president Mojtaba Samareh Hashemi and sometimes from Saeed Jalili, once his advisor and now the secretary of the High Commission for National Security, and some other time from Esfandiar Rahim Mashaee, the head of the government’s office”.

One year has past but there are still people who have said not even a sentence in condemning the founders of this great treason despite off all they claim.
