Pasdar Zarghami, regime’s head of TV & Radio admitted to the great hatred of people towards Bassij and said: “the situation is as such that we cannot hold a ceremony for killed Bassijies”.
Speaking in the replacement ceremony for the head of TV & Radio Organization’s Bassij he added: “…during the sedition (read uprisings) Bassijies came to the scene with all they had and tried to save the Revolution. They had to confront them alley by alley holding batons and sticks but foreign media showed in its heavy propaganda that Bassij is against people… After the sedition we decided to rebuild Bassij’s face in the society… How much our young and sensitive Bassijies can tolerate such a condition while the heads of Revolution who have been with Imam Khomeini are defected and they don’t know what happened”.
