Saeed Poor Haidar an enchained journalist who has been recently freed from Evin Prison and has been the cellmate of some of the PMOI political prisoners has had an interview in which he had talked about political prisoner who are supporters of PMOI. These prisoners are deprived of their minimum rights at prisons and are not allowed to meet with any of prison’s officials. Their letters to judiciary officials or bodies and even to their lawyers is not delivered.
Saeed Poor Haidar:
In our cell there were four others who were given unjust decrees of execution, Mr. Jafar Kazemi, Ghanbari, Mr. Siadat who is unfortunately executed and Mr. Mohammad Haj Aghaee.
I think in a condition that our country is the just deed is that the Islamic Republic would revise the execution of these unjust decrees that it has issued. But apparently logic is something that does not exist in this government. They act without having the domestic and international conditions in mind. This really arouses this question: what is the benefit of such acts except making the atmosphere of the society uneasy.
The prisoners with highest spirit at ward 350 were those on the death row. In my opinion (these executions) have no effect neither on other prisoners nor on the society; It doesn’t frighten people. It only disgraces the Islamic Republic both inside the country and internationally.
Four to five of our friends in our cell were from PMOI who either had received the decree of execution or long term incarcerations.
On Sunday and Wednesday of each week the Prosecutor General or his deputy would meet with some of the prisoners but those prisoners who are accused of being a member of PMOI and are under execution or have long terms are never taken for such a visit. They don’t listen to their demands at all.
If they gave a letter to the ward for example to be given to the Prosecutor or his lawyer, these letters never reached their destinations.
They are very much offended no matter if they are in their court procedure or in the prison having their terms.
Unfortunately our friends from PMOI are in worst conditions at the prisons even having in mind the minimum rights that a prisoner must have by our own laws (current laws in Iran under the so-called Islamic Republic).
Political prisoner Dr. Saeed Massori bids Ali Saremi farewell
Tehran, Jan. 1, 2011
“Your being shined warmth at me, your glance soothed me, your voice made me secure; from the moment that the prison’s loudspeaker howled your name until the time that your cry of ‘Hussein’ at the time of execution echoed in the air and in the history and reached those behind the walls of Evin whose heart beat with yours, it was as if that I was hanged thousand times and rose again.
When your body shivered for the last time on the gallows and then stopped moving, it was then that the movement just started…and you became the movement…
You made them to hang you at last. As you had always said: “only with my pen and my words I will make them to hang me at last to reveal their true face”.
Even Kayhan (Khamenei’s organ) couldn’t allege you with a crime that would deserve even one month of imprisonment but they could not bare your righteous words and they had to hang you…
Your heart was empty of everything but love! Mr. Ali I know that you are beside me and you hear me. I promise that I will make them to hang me too so that I would fulfill my duty towards my people, my homeland and my beliefs; so that I could make aware the world of the unjust that is imposed on our people.
Hail to you, you great man of the current history and shame on those who killed you and on those who keep silence on your death…

Studens overall the country condemn the execution of political prisoner Ali Saremi
Jan. 1, 2011
Students of Sistan & Baloochestan, Hormozgan, Ahwaz and Hamedan issued statements condemning the execution of political prisoner Ali Saremi; the statements read in part:
Sistan & Baloochistan: “…like those who were enchained because they used the word ‘human being’, like Ehsan Fatahian, Kianoosh Asa and thousand others like them…in this path there is daily struggle between just and unjust, between right and wrong. The wrong has the tool of execution and prison and the right has the tool of withstanding…it is the turn of whoever withstands and honors those who live…If Ali Saremi is gone other Alis are there. It is you (the regime) and your thoughts that will rot and it won’t be long before the history writes this in its chest…We a group of students of Sistan & Baloochestsn University condemn the execution of political prisoner Ali Saremi”
Hormozgan: “we unanimously say to this regime that it shouldn’t think that it can destroy our wills by prison and execution. These deeds only add to the hatred of people especially students towards your regime and be sure that we will confront you more inspired than before. We will topple you…”
Ahwaz: “…this is not the only execution. A wave of suppression and execution of the dissidents will come after it…we the students of Ahwaz condemn the execution of 62 years old political prisoner (Ali Saremi) at Evin Prison at dawn of Tuesday Dec. 28, 2010.
Before anything we should ask: “what has happened to this regime that it has to perish a 62 years old prisoner? What is it afraid of that it commits such act?”...
Hamedan: “…was Ali Saremi the last death row prisoner? Undoubtedly it is not so. He is only a start for the continuation of the crimes of the henchmen. It is upon us to withstand oppression, despotism and cruelty. We all can have a part in that…”
