In an interview with Iranian state-run TV, Ahmadinejad said regarding international sanctions, “At a time when everyone is shouting for free economy and trade, when they are revising all the regulations in the world for a free economy, what do sanctions even mean? Sanctions are against this idea. It is a failure. In a world where there is a millimeter race to attract markets and have control over the market to attract clients… they have subjected themselves to sanctions. They have seen that is has no affect even from the mental aspect. If you go to the streets (in Iran), people say, what are sanctions…”
Ahmadinejad said, “Today in the world, politicians have reached the conclusion that there are two supervisors and powers in the world, one is America and the other is Iran. The supervision of the US has been experienced and now they are wondering what Iran’s supervision is like. (They ask that) if Iran was to regulate relations in the world, how would they regulate this…”
Ahmadinejad said in regard to the release of Sara Shourd, the female American hostage who was jailed in Iran for more than a year, “We expect nothing in return. But it is natural and we morally expect that the American government takes a step. A number of Iranians from various countries, for example an Iranian that has gone to Thailand or Georgia or another place, they came and arrested them and then took them to America or Iranians in America. When for example they wanted to send something to Iran, they would take you to prison without even observing your rights. It is natural that in the public opinion there is this expectation that they release some of those Iranians”.

At the time of massive demonstration of Iranians against the presence of Ahmadinejad in United Nations in New York, Mullah’s dictatorship expressed their worry in the media and asked for suspension of representative seat of the regime in United Nation.
News network of the regime added: Demonstrations of opponents of regime and Ahmadinejad is being used by members of PMOI in front of United Nations every year.

Mesbah Yazadi’s confession about the defeat of regime in universities

Mesbah Yazdi, one of the closest Mullahs to Khamenei confessed that the ruling regime has been defeated in Universities.
Mesbah Yazdi in his speech in Assembly of Experts said: the main point of enemies’ target is universities. The cultural institutions of universities should have been very careful, but I have to admit that they couldn’t do anything and they cannot.
He expressed his worry about the growing resistance and opposition of youths and said: in the recent two three years, there have been many doubts on religion among the youths and these doubts are being discussed in new ways that we cannot do anything about it.

Today in a site belonging to the other wing of the regime wrote: 270 of precedence employers of state ministry, who had between 20 to 29 years of records in ministry which were so called fighters and sacrificing forces, were excluded only because of complaining against Ahmadinejad’s government.
This source also added: these people are protesting against these unofficial acts of managers in state ministry. They have also said that all the authorities including the minister, deputy minister and secretary generals are all from Pasdanran and none of them are from state ministry and now they expelling the house holder from the ministry.

Attack of Mullah Amini the Friday prayer of Qom to Ahmadinejad’s government

In continuation of large number of schisms among the close people to supreme leader, Mullah Amini the Friday prayer of Qom and a member of Assembly of Experts, attacked Ahmadinejad’s government.
Ilna news agency: a strong criticism of Mullah Amini of unemployment and he said I have statistic of unemployment, which if I speak about it, it will make people worry. We have too many educated unemployed.

After Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi that in Fetr pray said about the unemployed, now is Ayatollah Amini in Friday pray. He said authorities have problem and my words have no effect on them. According to report of Ilna from Qom, Ayatollah Ibrahim Amini in the Friday pray which was held in so called Khomeini’s section of Masoumeh Shrine in Qom said: the reason that the marriages do not take place is because of unemployment. In our country youths who want to get married should be able to handle their expenditure but with unemployment is very difficult.

Iran official expresses anger over Ahmadinejad’s head of office

Mohammad Nabi Habibi, from the very right wing Motalefeh faction in the Iranian regime said, “We oppose Ahmadinejad’s absolute support and no questions asked view of Mashayi (Ahmadinejad head of office)”.
“We strongly oppose the statements of the head of Ahmadinejad’s office. His statements are not compatible with the spirit of the revolution”, he added.

Iran concerned that government will fall apart

The state-run Jomhouri daily expressed concern over the fact that the government was falling apart and wrote in its editorial, “The enemies of Islam, the revolution and the Islamic Republic system have sharpened their teeth for the destruction and uprooting of the government to the extent that if they are not blocked and if they are able to realize their evil goal, nothing will be left of the basis which the system is standing on currently and there will be no system left to discuses its management”.
This state controlled daily admitted to the deepening divisions in Khamenei’s faction and wrote: “What is preventing the unifying of the forces around their commonalities is the extreme measures taken and severe treatments which unfortunately takes place without any attention to its results and negative consequences. The insults, eliminations, exclusive approaches and narrow minded judgments should be put away and the principles of the system should be carried out and acted upon”.

Daryoush Qanbari, a member of the Iranian parliament from the minority faction attacked Ahmadinejad for questioning Khomeini’s statement which stressed that the Majlis is on top of all affairs and said that this issue is like opposing Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic.
“Unfortunately, the negotiations of a group of government minded MPs has led to the severe weakening of the Majlis”.
“A republic which is not run by the legislative body and Majlis will lead to a dictatorship”, he added.

Iran beats human rights activist in prison

On the night of September 17, Abolfazl Abedini Nasr, journalist and human rights activist was severely beaten in Ahwaz Prison.
In this incident, a person named Qoldori who is prison personnel attacked Abedini and severely abused and harassed him.
According to reports, this journalist was waiting in line to use the restroom in the prison yard when this person attacked him for no reason and shackled his hands and legs to a pole in the yard of cellblock 6. He was beaten with a pipe for hours.
The beatings were so severe that Abedini’s hands and legs were completely blackened and bruised. None of the prison officials are answering his protests to this issue.
This human rights activist has been sentenced to 11 years of prison and is suffering from a severe heart problem.

Prison officials spy on political prisoners even in bathroom and showers with security cameras

Evin Prison officials control the actions of political prisoners and prisoners of conscience in cellblock 350 with security cameras on a 24 hour basis. According to reports, the Tehran Prosecutor and a number of security officials go to Evin Prison on certain days and sit watch prisoners from the security cameral control room for hours.
According to reports from Evin Prison, these cameras have been installed in all the rooms, hallways and even restrooms and showers of cellblock 350.
By watching prisoners with these cameras prison officials have prevented prisoners from gathering in groups of more than two and have even sent prisoners to solitary over this issue. Prisoners are not even allowed to sit next to each other in prison.
The head of this cellblock, Bozorg Nia constantly calls on prisoners and threatens them that the head of prison, Sedaqat, and the Tehran Prosecutor, Jafari Dolat Abadi, are directly watching their behavior and have called him in this regard to warn them.

Rajayi Shahr Prison searches political prisoners’ cellblock with dogs

According to reports, prison guards in cellblock 4 in Rajayi Shahr Prison in Karaj searched room 3 in hall 10 where a number of political prisoners are kept with two dogs.
This prison which is known as the place of banishment for political prisoners is used by security officials to put pressure or physically eliminate political prisoners.

Human rights activist sentenced to more than 2 years of prison and 74 lashes

Saied Haeri, a member of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters was sentenced to two years and six months of prison and 74 lashes.
This human rights activist’s sentence was issued today by the 26th branch of the Revolutionary Court on charges of ‘disrupting public order’ and ‘assembling and conspiring’.
Haeri was released on a 100 million toman (about 100,000 dollar) bail after 80 days of incarceration on March 11, 2010. He was arrested on December 20, 2009 along with human rights activist Shiva Nazar Ahari and Kohyar Goudarzi.
