Uprising of June 10-20

Anti-regime activities surge
June 10, 2010
Tehran- after the approval of the sanctions against the regime people chanted ‘Allah O Akbar’ from 2200 till 2230 on June 9 in Ponak region.

Terhan- as the satellite networks were showing the approval of the resolution for sanctions in Security Council all of a sudden the networks were disconnected. Following the event people of most regions of Tehran went to their roof tops chanting ‘Allah O Akbar’ including Mirdamad and Gholhak regions.

Gorgan- a group of youths in Gorgan (north of Iran) tore Khamenei’s banners that were installed in front of a bank on June 9. Regime collected the banners before 9 am from fear.

Tehran- Some students of Science & Industry University along with a group of people gathered in protest on Tuesday night June 8 in front of Evin Prison demanding the immediate freedom of political prisoners. The agents told them to disperse or they would be arrested but in spite of all intimidations the protesters stood firm.

Isfahahn- Homayounshahr- on Tuesday June 8 residents of this city were witnessing regime’s Bassijies and municipality agents chasing some dogs. The picture of Khamenei was hanged to the necks of these dogs. People enjoyed the scene and humiliated the Bassijies.

Tehran- Javan site belonging to RGC admitted that writing slogans against the regime is widespread at Tehran Azad University and wrote: “as the days of sedition get closer a new wave of writing slogans has started in Azad University. Some write slogans with thick-tip oil pens against the state and the heads of the state...”

Tehran- writing anti regime slogans and calls for uprising intensely continues by youths and student at the universities and streets. Student organizations call people to take into the streets on June 12.

Isfahan- walls of the city especially city’s terminal is covered with anti regime slogans and calls to uprising on June 12.

Tehran- at Science & Industry University many students spray anti regime slogans on the walls and other places. A student said that after they write the slogans Harasat covers them with paint.

Isfahan- a student of Isfahan University, Hamid Hosseini, student of Psychology was arrested while distributing leaflets of the uprising.

Sanandaj- Statement of students of Sanandaj University reads in part: “in the name of God, as the events of last year and other years show Iranian nation stands firm in front of oppression...we... announce that the only way out of this calamity is yielding to the rights of nation which is freedom, democracy, free election, unconditional freedom of political prisoners and annulations of execution decrees for political prisoners including 16 Kurd activists...
We announce that as a sign of our protest to the way the country is governed and to the secret burying of our five martyrs (5 political prisoners executed on May 9) as well as to execution decrees for 16 Kurd political activist we will go on hunger strike on June 15...

Mullahs’ nightmare

Tehran- The clerical regime has summoned all the managers of building in Navab to Security Police and had threatened them and taken obligations from them that they would collect all satellite dishes from the roof tops.

Tehran- all those detained before, during a year of uprising, had to sign that they will not participate in the coming demonstrations and uprising.

Tehran- shops that were open at the anniversary of Khomeini’s death on June 4 were threatened and many of them have been closed and sealed.

Tehran- after ‘Guidance Patrols’ were not seen for a while in the streets they have showed up again around the shopping centers and great squares of Tehran ...
These patrols will fine people for non-traditional outfit of women, tanned skin of men and they also stop the cars and confiscate them putting the sign of ‘harassing women’ on the cars. (Around Ponak and Aryashahr).


The Downfall

The First united economic and political front against the clerical regime

The resolution 1929 with 12 positive vote demands the clerical regime to stop Uranium enrichment. It also adds 40 organs of this regime along with 15 organs affiliated with RGC to the list of international sanctions.
In addition to hard sanctions in nuclear field these sanctions aim at missile, weapon and financial fields, sanctions of regime’s banks and a marine siege against this regime.
This is the first united economic and political front against the clerical regime. The world is deciding to put itself at the side of people of Iran.


Resistance

High school pupils gathered in protest
Tehran, June 9, 2010
On June 6, 300 of high school pupils in Gisha region gathered in protest to the condition of final exams in front of Educational Bureau of Region 2 at 10.30 am.
A few minutes later security forces and Plainclothes attacked them with batons and beat them severely arresting some.
A reporter of ‘in the city’ program of regime’s TV was beaten too and his camera was confiscated.

Anti-regime gathering in Sanandaj
Sanandaj, June 9, 2010
A group of land owners from Kamiz region along with some families of army personnel being promised lands, gathered in front of 28 Corp’s base in Sannadaj on Monday June 7 from 5 till 8 pm demanding their lands.
The protesters chanted anti regime slogans and were eventually dispersed when regime’s military forces and SSF engaged.
While dispersing, they chanted slogans with louder voices saying that they will not stop their protest until they gain back their lands.

Remembering Nasser Amirnejad
Tehran, June 9, 2010
Students of Science & Research Industry gathered on June 8 to commemorate Nasser Amirnejad a student of Aerospace of this university shot to death in last Junes uprising by Bassij forces.
The gathering started at noon in front of the main door and a placard in that regard was fastened to the door.
The presence of female students was noticeable.
The students lit candles in Nasser’s memory.
As soon as Harasat was informed of this gathering the agents rushed to the scene and a Harasat commander harassed students, tore the pictures of Nasser and trampled the candles which led to students’ protest.


Suppression

No visits for political prisoners

Evin’s prosecutor’s section has announced that all visits for political prisoners are canceled till further notice.

Escalating misogynous measures
Tehran, June 9, 2010
Vosooghi the deputy of students’ affairs in Sharif Industrial University said in his interview with Mehr news agency affiliated with RGC that at the entrance to the university any female student not having proper veil will be warned and in some cases they have to sign an obligation in that regard. If the case is repeated the student will be summoned to Disciplinary Committee.
Professors of this university have to lecture for 5 minutes in each class about ‘the truth behind the improper veil’.

Humiliating youths to break them

On last Sunday morning a 25 years old youth was forced by SSF to take of all his clothing and was then thrown in the middle of Sadr Highway.

Detention of a labor activist
Kamyaran, June 9, 2010
On Thursday June 3 agents of Intelligence Ministry and RGC of Kamyaran detained Kaveh Gol Mohammadi a laborer activist and a member of Coordinating Committee for Establishing Laborers’ Organizations and his brother Kianoosh Gol Mohammadi 18.
Kaveh was threatened to stop his activities and his mobile was checked. Kaveh has been threatened several times before by phone to stop his activities.

The clerical regime dipped into economic problems

Jomhori state-run daily in its editorial titled as ‘a real look at the countries economy’ wrote: “from any point of view when you look at statistics and facts ...we will undoubtedly agree that our country’s economy is not in a good condition.
1-By execution of disciplinary policies of the Central Bank in reaction to the increase in the growth of cash reservoir in years of 2006 and 2007 which started mid 2008 a great number of production units of the country face shortage in cash.
2-Stagnation in construction field: facts in residential field and field of productive industries and their related services...show that this field is still under stagnation...
3-Unemployment rate is devastating especially amongst the young generation.
