Tehran University
June 12, 2010 - students are pushing at security forces who have formed a human wall at the gates of the university to leave the university and join the protests on the streets. Students chant and try to push their way free and out of the university.
Security forces shoot tear gas at the students to try to disperse them.
There are severe clashes between students and security forces at about 5 pm outside the School of Arts at Tehran University.
In protests in Tehran, protesters and especially young people chant death to dictator and death to Khamenei. Security forces and plainclothes agents have attacked security forces from north of Valiasr and have injured a number of protesters with batons and sticks. There are hits and runs in this area. A number of people have gone to Nikuyi Street outside the Arts University.
Shop owners have left their shops open in the Tehran Bazaar to let in protesters who are running from security forces and give them shelter.
The center of clashes is Firdosi Square in the direction of Enqelab Square.
