Five executed political prisoners remembered in Kurdistan Kurdistan, June 18, 2010 On the 40th day of the execution of Political prisoners Farzad Kamangar, Shirin Alamhooli, Ali Haidarian, Farhad Vakili and Mehdi Islamian Kurdistan cities sank into darkness. Residents of Kurdistan including cities of Sanandaj, Mahabad, Marivan and Kamyaran simultaneously turned off the lights at their houses at 10 pm to commemorate the 5 political prisoner executed on May 9.
